Default CA Central Coast get together???

I was trying to make the VW Classic in Irvine this weekend my first bug event but I'm bummed I can't make it I know there are a lot of bug'ers near the Central Coast so I'm wondering when we're all gonna get together out this way???? Anyone else up for planning a get together in this area?

Even though I live in SoCal, I would be interested in Central CA GTG. With the TDI I dont worry about fuel costs

I'm on the Central Coast.
It would all depend on which day on which weekend. Where were you thinking of meeting?

Where exactly do you mean "Central Coast"? If Nagal can make it, with enough times notice I'm sure Evilina can make it!! Unless of course work comes up

Central Coast - anywhere approximately between Santa Barbara to Morro Bay. Hannaco mentioned Moss Landing (I'm not quite sure where that is) or Morro Bay. Pismo Beach would also be a cool place to meet. Anyway, I'm just trying to get the word out there. Maybe we can plan something for a few months out so everyone who wants to meet can plan it and take off from work. What about around August or September?

Aw, I always thought that the Central Coast was opposite Central California. The middle third of the state from about Santa Barbara to about Point Rays.
Moss Landing is at the mid point on the edge of the Monterey Bay.

Default GTG? hmmmmm

We might be interested in a cruise to Ca.,we now live in Waldport Oregon, and drive a 2000 black turbo, and it might be time for a roadtrip?
Let us know about the time frame, and if we can we will, lets see if ya can get any DOER's !!??
It would be nice if there was something happening on that wkend or?to coincide with our gtg?

Santa Cruz has a Chili cookoff latter in the summer. Is that something to consider? Always a way to get the insides as hot as the outsides.
Or a trip around Morro Bay on the Tigers Folly, and a nice lunch after the boat ride?

I have no specific date in mind... I'm always here so I'm open to ANY days!!! That event sounds cool! I would be down. Or I was also thinking we could get together at the dunes in Pismo. Did you guys see bhppy101's pics there? I think it would be an awesome place for some photos. But I am down for anywhere... anytime!

I would be willing, but I'm not close enough yet. Maybe next year.

Another place to consider is Pillar Point near Half Moon Bay. They have some very nice tide pools to look over.
Or, how about Mt. Hamilton and a tour through the observatory? Kind of a nice mountain drive.

Now, here is a bit of an idea. How about stopping off at one of the many wine makers in the area? Many offer tours as well as samples.

OK, now just how many wineries can we visit before driving becomes a problem?
Any preference as to white or red wine? Rota down in Templeton makes a nice well aged red. The ones up in Gilroy tend to the lighter whites. One of the Org members works for a Carmel Vally winery. Maybe he could find some samples to take home.
