Columbus Ohio Volksfest 2006 - August 12, 2006

I'm gonna start a thread for this show, evne though i'm over 800 miles away from Columbus.

So, who's goin this year? There was a really good New Beetle turnout last year, and this year I want to see that munber doubled . Soo, who's going?

its a long drive for me but herbie and slugger will be there , any long distance travlers keep in mind that theres a huge chrysler /mopar show in town that weekend also so if your planning on staying in town either nite , you may want to find a room now , you can always cancel later if you cant come , not sure when my kids are coming home from their summer camp jobs , but if i have a room free , your welcome to stay here , and if your real daring i have a big back yard , bring a tent and sleep wit hte deer and foxes

Now I think it's a pretty sure thing. It looks like we won't be going on vacation to Canada this year so this can be my big weekend of fun and sun for the summer. I'll very likely go to the afterparty too.

its along drive from my house ,,maybe 20 minutes ,,maybe 25 if they dont have all the bulbs in the traffic light fixed in pataskala ,,

theres about any kind of hotel you want , if you do a search for a particular , look for something in gahanna (n/e burb of columbus ) or westerville , or east side of columbus ,the closer you get to the east side the harder it is to find a room that weekend since the mopars are in town , and they invade the brice rd area on friday and saturday nights

nice thing about columbus , you can be from 1 side to the other in 15 minutes ,

since im close and the shows usally over by 4 or so , what ya all think of a gtg after the show , theres a nice BBQ place near my house and its right off the outerbelt ,about 15 minutes from the show site ,
let me know if anyone interested

That's a cool idea. I'll be totally down for that. There's also a G2G planned for the day after up in Scrtongsville at Tony's chicken. Although there seems to be no posted interest in that so far.
