Thumbs up Great TDI (diesel) service in PA - timing belt - brakes - filters - fluids

Marquette Automotive AKA www.metalmanparts.com did all of the following for $1172.36 on my 2002 TDI Beetle !!!

Test drove car
Tested on VAG-COM

New timing belt, water pump, bolts, pulley, serpentine belt & tensioner
New fluids (antifreeze, oil, transmission)
New filters (fuel, air, oil, transmission, cabin)
New rotors & pads on all 4 wheels
Topped off brake fluid
Replaced side engine shield and lower cover screws

Tested on VAG-COM
Test drove car

Dennis covered the driver's seat and front fenders while working AND used a torque wrench to reattach the wheels after rotating. The biggest plus was his allowing me to watch and ask questions during the entire process. I walked away with a better way to drain AND refill oil when I do my own oil changes.

This was my second timing belt service (160,000). Back in 11/04 I got all of the above done
for the 80,000 mile timing belt service at my VW dealership except:

Brakes & rotors were not replaced
Transmission fuid and filter was not replaced
Engine shield was not replaced

FOR $1568.62 (parts and labor) + $39 (shop supplies) + $7.72 (windshield washer fluid) !!

Thanks Dennis -
Great service . . . and great savings !!

WOW! That *IS* amazing. Great find.

I paid $950 last August (06) for my 1st timing
belt change, which included a serpentine belt.
No fluids, and they did not do the water pump.
Had to get it done at the stealer/
