Default Argintessa and The Bug Dash

Figured since his thread was closed and locked, I would start up a thread for him.

So post up your experiences with the Bug Dash and Mr. Argintessa!

My personal experience with the Bug Dash was not so positive, so I'm biting my tongue a bit. Super speedy shipping, great packaging, but the product was slightly less than expected.

I'm a little
Is another post really needed for this business?
Doesn't it get 5 or more "self posts" daily?

I agree however this thread is intended for our userbase to provide feed back on the product and on the overall sales process.

It is different then the seller self promiting his thread 4..5..6...7..18 times a day.

Mine was damaged in shipping, due to no fault of Argintessa. He promptly had it replaced within a week, double bubble wrapped it.
Looks great, fits great.
The only alteration I did was to add velcro dots in the outer corners near the windshield. Worth the price!

I got the carbon fiber (look) flat cover.

I got the standard black version with the rim/lip and I like it. The dash on the car is huge and I wanted to be able to place something on it (like a pizza box for example) without it sliding off. I can take the cover off whenever I want and it hasn't damaged my dash. Really, the product performs the function I wanted it to just fine.

I was not happy with mine.

Price is good, shipping was great, but mine would warp upwards when the heat (defroster) was on in the winter. It would actually "bend" upwards as my car warmed up and the heat hit it. It would settle down only after I turned my car off. Argintessa said that my car's heat had some sort of defect and that he hadn't heard of anyone else's BugDash doing this. I find that hard to believe.

I was also not happy with the fit. It fits, mostly, but does have a little slide here and there. Argintessa did recommend little velcro dots, but I did not want to adhere the thing to my car in any way.

Also, the BugDash scraped off some of the rubberized paint on the dash where it rested. I was not happy about that.

I took the thing out and do not use it. It was too much of a hassle and I did not want to further scratch my dash with the dash cover.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

I don't like bashing but, I have to admit that the first time I seen this cover I said "Hey, that's cool" I then quickly thought I don't get it!

I'm sorry but what is this real purpose of this dash cover anyways? I mean it aside from decoration, are people actually putting stuff on the dash? I know that these covers come in all colors and that's fine and dandy however, wouldn't it be the same just painting the the dash pieces them selves?

Please take your styling questions elsewhere. (Valid questions, but wrong forum/thread.) This thread is for buyer feedback only regarding purchases, transactions, first-hand parts comments, etc.

I bought one of the BugDash covers, and I really like it. It is a very nice, quality product. It also looks really nice. It is obviously not the right choice for everyone, but if you put ALL of the post bashing aside, Argintessa makes a really nice product, that in my opinion, is worth the money. If you don't like the way it looks, that is your opinion. It should not reflect on the designer at all. He is a GREAT person to deal with, and if anyone cares to ask me any questions, feel free to contact me.

I would agree. I have no personal issues with Matt and I do believe the product is well-made and well worth the price. It just wasn't for me.

Default Kudos!!!

Not to repeat myself or anything, I would like to reiterate that Argintessa provides really GREAT customer service. So, if anyone that is considering buying a Bug Dash, has not bought one out of fear of dealing with somebody you don't know, or don't know anything about... He is AWESOME. If you have any issues or don't like it, or whatever.. He is a TERRIFIC guy, and will make you glad you belong to an org with great people.

Thanks again Matt.

Agreed! He even offered a refund for my dash cover, but I've been super busy with school and haven't had a chance to get it packaged up and shipped out yet.

Default Bug Dash Cover

I bought my Bug Dash Cover off of Ebay a while ago. I ABSOLUTELY love it. It fits perfectly and matches the interior amazingly well. I can't recommend The Bug Dash enough. I recommend the product to every New beetle owner I run across. Thanks for inventing such a great product for the VW New Beetle.

Here is another happy Bug Dash cover that I ran across on the socal new beetle website. Also another great forum for the VW new beetle

WOW.

DID YOU REALLY just do that?

GinaMaggiore Is a ficticious person ran by Argentissa.

And Argentissa's already been warned NOT to post in this thread tooting his own horn, displaying FALSE TESTIMONIALS.
