Piece of crap dealership! Sold us a beetle, didnt even make it home! Turned out the alternator was from a junk yard, just a corroded piece of junk until they could get it off their lot. After my husband fixed the alternater it was fine though.

Sometimes, stealerships can suck. I think you managed to pick one that is teh suck. But, I' glad your car is fine now! Please don't change your opinion of Vw because of some dumb cheapscape move that your dealership pulled.

When you get a chance, take some pictures for us so we can see the car!

when my center caps come in, I will... I hate that its such an issue on the 98-01 alloys.. o well... New ones coming.. I think Im gonna try to Paint some of my interior as well.

boo that's pretty lame. i had a similar problem...i got Red from a mom and pop dealership and didn't notice that my tires were all different brands. lol. yep i had a michelin, yokohama, eagle and a firestone. oh and they all had horrible dry rot. meh.

I looked at a little yellow one like that.. I hate when idiots dont know how to take care of their cars such is life I guess... My little beetle has had a harder life than the carfax let on... its got some under body damage that I didnt immidiately catch, and theres a big crack in my grill that the bright red concealed until I got it home. O well... I still love her anyway, and their not terribly noticeable. Little by little, Ill get her back in great condition. I plan on her being a part of the family for a very long time
