These guys get a huge

John was professional, friendly and incredibly accommodating of my hubby and his check lists. It took one week from the time it took me to walk through the door to look for a pre-loved v-dub to the day I drove off with McGreavey. He gave us good advice in terms of a number of things, did away with the bulk of the BS negotiations that normally go on with sticker haggling and even sent me a thank you note.

More importantly, when I was nervous about "I haven't driven a stick in 10 years" assured me and patiently sat in the back seat while I cruised around the Greater Boston area test driving and then going to my mechanic to have him give McGreavey a final check up before signing the paperwork.

Anna, their business manager, negotiated a fabulous rate on our loan and was prompt with the paper work.

Compared to a couple other places in the Greater Boston area (one VW dealership and many other car dealerships that had used VWs listed on Vehix) where I was truly skeeved out by the help, I have to say Colonial felt good from the minute we walked through the door.

This just got better. Three weeks after taking McGreavey home I received an oversized postcard today saying, "Congratulations. You're the proud owner of a new 2003 Volkswagen New Beetle" from Colonial. On the back was a coupon good for $25 off a roof carrier and $5 off driver gear and a note about if I have any questions or concerns, feel free to call.

I have never had a dealership do a follow up like this before - it feels, well, like I'm truly a valued customer.
