Brandon or "Bubba" is the owner of Metrick Methodz, an independent VW shop in Fort Collins, Colorado. After having a slow oil leak for a year (I thought it had gone away), then getting a diagnosis of a leaky valve cover gasket and a repair bill of $400 from the dealer, I took it to Brandon. He pulled the valve cover and determined that the gasket under the oil cap was UPSIDE DOWN!! He re-installed it correctly and Daisy's oil leak is gone. Brandon is a great guy, honest, and loves VWs.

Update - apparently, the oil cap had a hairline crack in it. She started leaking again after he flipped the gasket. Brandon replaced the cap and she's been leak-free since then.

This is really good to know. I will look him up, if I have any issues. I would probably suggest you go to HIM now, instead of the dealership for anything except maybe oil changes. UNLESS, of course he does that too? When you get it, Jon will put your skid plate on for ya in trade for some Fat tire.
