Thumbs down Do NOT purchase online from..

Carpartswholesale on eBay!

I've attempted to purchase a few parts from them in the past, and this is my last straw.

My first attempt with this company was the grille assembly, which happened to be only the honeycomb mid-piece. Priced like a whole grille set, and advertised like one as well. They have free shipping, but not when I was returning the product. I even requested a shipping label, and they told me NO, and NO to a refund (for shipping) either! What a waste of 15$ in shipping. Although, I did help the by-the-binder representative(s) with the cataloging issue, I was still at a loss.

For the past month, I've been trying to get my whole fog light situation...situated. I purchased a set on eBay for cheap! When they came in, they were gorgeous. I was very pleased, until being told that the connector for the passenger/right side was upside-down. If it was rotated 180 degrees, it would have fit.

So, I take the step to getting a replacement part, and these fogs are a pain in the rear to do in the first place. They are apologetic and quick with a replacement, but it's the same thing. GO MANUFACTURERS.

To my knowledge, or lack thereof, I don't believe they manufacture everything, but they do distribute.

So, now I have one fog light sitting in my grille, and two "backwards" fogs sitting in boxes in my room. It was a PAIN IN THE REAR to get shipping return labels. I had to make a big stink to get them. They finally transferred me to an eBay rep to help again, with their cataloging problem. At least one of these foreign idiots understood that the connector was wrong.

After fighting, and hopefully I will get refunded (for shipping) in a short period of time, I'm stuck again at picking out fogs for my beetle.

I would never recommend this company because they're a hassle about shipping. They'll send you a RA # and whatnot, but never the label! They don't catalog correctly, and their reps don't know crap, and their responses are out of binder, I swear.

I handle Ebay as a full time job where I work and can say we also do not pay for return shipping or provide return labels (unless it was our mistake). We of course have all this clearly explained but I imagine no one reads it until after the fact when I give them the bad news.

Not clearly having pictures of the exact item on sale and misleading customers is very bad and I don't do that but as far as returns we have so many people that order the wrong part, don't know how to install it, or just want to 'rent' the item then return it that we were forced into that policy. Even had a customer who bought our item, swapped parts out of it to fix the item he had that was broke, then returned ours. If the customer has to pay out of pocket for a return chances are they will think twice before buying and that's how I want it. Ebay puts very little power in the hands of the seller so I have to do what I can.

Ebay is full of freaks to be honest. I have met some wonderful customers but I have come across some freaks I never encountered in 10 years of retail.

They aren't descriptive, and only supply one picture. They promise free shipping with returns, but the process is beyond difficult.

Thankfully, I recently purchased the right ones from another seller for two dollars more. Figures.
