Default Where Can I Find "Green Stuff" Brake Pads???

Hey,

Where can I find "Green Stuff" Brake Pads? I know they're available via the web, but are their any common name autoparts jobbers who carry them?

Thanks

they are more expensive than the greenstuff or redstuff version.

I use it for TRACK (racing) so they are cheaper than OTHER track pads like HAWK or Pagid...

For street/autocross, the Greenstuff is the best bang for the buck with less brake dust.

..but I love that the yellowstuff is low brakedust, easy on the rotors and works well in a track setting (won't melt)

Well, I will very shortly have yellow calipers, so green and yellow on a black car would be ugly. What about some regular brake bads that have low brake dust and that aren't too expensive?

did you know that you CAN use the yellow pads on the street too? that's why I love them so much.. they are rated to last 50k miles for just normal street use.. so the extra cost is made up in the longer life IMHO...

..geez, I should work for ebc.. lol

Thanks for all the input. You all rock

Oh, one more thing. Is it that the green/yellowstuff pads have virtually no brake dust, or is it because of their lighter (non-graphite) color, that you just don't notice the dust. Just curious. Whatever the case, it's sure better than what I have now.

they have less brakedust because of the material they are made of.. the color is ONLY the outside and not the actual pad itself.. the backing plate and pad were all painted green, red or yellow but only the backing plate or sides of pad stays that color unless you heat them up too much and melt off the paint like I do at the track.

...kevlar doesn't dust as much as your normal brake pad material and the eBc has kevlar in them

Gate. WHAT IS UP????? Congrats on the wheel sale

Yes I did and you can get them at AUTO BOUTIQUE here in my neighborhood. They're on Old St. Augustine Rd. They don't have them is stock- Just give them the part# and they'll have them the next day. Apparently, their warehouse is somewhere local.

I'm glad you dropped a line. I was gonna holla at you about replacing the pads. Have you done it before? I'm gonna check out the 'how-to' thread.

Call me tomorrow. PM me if you don't have my cell. I'll give you the skinny on the pads and getting the best price.

Well the Green Stuff pads are on the front of 'Cup- I did it myself. The wheels/calipers haven't fallen off so, job well done by the Scarab man.

Here's to years without that pesky brake dust.
