For Sale: 1999 GLX, 2.0L NB (Techo Blue)
For Sale: 1999 Volkswagen New Beetle GLX, 2.0L, Techno Blue
I'm selling my New Beetle (as much as I don't want to) as my new puppy is growing way too much and I need more space for him to travel.
Here are the specs for the Beetle:
-119,000 km's on it (a lot of them are highway kms). Regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotation, scheduled work) for car always (I have every service record since day one). E-tested last year, will pass any inspection guaranteed.
-GLX package includes cold weather package (heated seats and heated mirrors), 16" alloy rims, premium 6-speaker sound system and Air Conditioning.
I've also added the following things to it while I've owned it.
-Boomerang spoiler with factory matched paint.
-Phatnoise Phatbox (20GB MP3 cartridge) which holds the equivilent of 500 cd's (mounted in trunk), works flawlessly.
-European emblems on hood, trunk and all four wheels (done in blue & white), hard to find in North America (originally ordered from Germany).
-Painted calipers (yellow) on front only, still very shiny.
The following things have been either fixed or replaced recently too:
-A/C condensor (replaced two weeks ago).
-Timing belt and water pump (done December 2005).
-Front tires replaced (Goodyear Energy MV4), done May 2006
-Front brakes done July 2003, still plenty of wear on them.
-Extra set of calipers included (front and back with only 1000 km's on them, retail value of about $300).
-Complete engine rebuild on rings, valves and pistons (done in August 2003). Volkswagen Canada did this under warranty and absorbed the $2400 bill. This works has added more than a few years to the engine's lifespan.
Car exterior and interior is almost flawless. Kept in underground parking, the car has no rust whatsoever and no major scratches/dents/paint defects at all. Lovingly waxed every other month as well and the interior is always cleaned regularly too (non-smoking car).
Kelley Blue Book value lists it at $9000 Cdn. and since I've upgraded and fixed many things on it, I would be looking to get this amount for it.
Car is available to see in person on most weekends as well as the odd weekday night (as long as I'm not playing hockey).
I've added one picture as an attachment but can provide many more if you prefer. I hate to sell this car but I need to and I just hope someone enjoys it as much as I have. It's a fun car to drive and it'll last for many, many more years
