Default FS: 16" NB alloys, $100!

Hi all-
It has been a really long time since I have posted here! I have a set of 16" NB stock NB alloys that have been taking up space in my garage for far too long. I originally thought I would hold onto them if I ever wanted to put my car back to stock; I don't think I ever will.

The good:
I would rate them in "good" condition
No bends
They were used for about 50,000 miles
These would make great winter wheels, or would be a good upgrade for someone with hubcaps (that often fly off)
Three are stamped on the back as being made in 1997! One is from 1998

The bad:
Some nicks and scrapes
Clearcoat has some surface scratches
All center caps have discoloration of the chrome logo
The inside corners all have brake dust in them
The tires shown are 100% bald, I just haven't bothered with removing them
I would say Wheel #1 is the "Worst" - there is some scrapes on one of the spokes and one chip near where the center caps go.

I offer them for $100 total; I just want them gone.

The pics show the wheels with small center caps; these are an additional $20.

I would prefer a local sale, but will entertain shipping them. I have larger pics available. E-mail me for them if needed.

Hey Jay!

My life has been CRAZY! I got a phenomenal new job where internet access is VERY limited. I used to be able to post from work at the old place (OfficeMax), but I am not willing to take the chance at the new place.

Nick and I are doing well, but things at home have gotten chaotic. His brother went through a messy divorce and now lives with us. His daughter stays with us up to 5 nights a week while her dad is working. We really a have a blended family-thing going on! What was supposed to be a temporary living situation is quickly becoming permanent.

On top of all that, Spped needs a new clutch and won't be getting one too soon. I think I have driven him a total of 100 miles since last September. We are making some financial investments, so the money is going there. I am beginning to see how people end up with cars sitting for years in their garages that only need somewhat simple repairs. Other things just take priority!

I'm interested in those for winter wheel. However, I'm about 350 miles away from you, in Chicago. Do you think we could meet up in the middle somewhere, or maybe let's say I'd drive 200 and you 150? Or maybe, if I'm feeling up for a trip I could drive all the way to Cleveland

Would you be able to remove the tires before I would be picking them up?

Trust me, I want these out of my garage, but I know I will not be able to make a trip to Chicago anytime soon. Sorry! The best I can do is hold onto your info and if no one steps up to buy them locally we can see if we can work something out.

As far as removing the tires, I haven't given it much thought. I really don't want to monkey around with them, or worse, pay for someone to take them off.

I hope I'm not being a pain in the butt.....

No, it's ok...

Would you sell them if I'd come to Cleveland, though?

Edit: And I didn't mean you coming to Chicago, I meant just half (or less) way to it.

Thumbs up

it takes about 7 to 8 hours to drive there (depending on how bad traffic is on the dan ryan)

..I was just at Mid-Ohio last weekend and it took us 2.5 hours just to get out of chicagoland to Lake Junction, IN (normally it only takes us an hour to get to that point)

Tolls on I90 were $4.15 and I think the Ohio Turnpike was another $3 or so... not-too-bad and gasoline is much cheaper in Indiana and Ohio compared to IL

...g-luck!

Thanks for helpful info, ibid!!! I was actually trying to find toll info, hehe. I assume iPass won't work there?

But damn, I was thinking the drive would take somewhere around 5-6 hours. Maybe if I'd leave at 5AM I wouldn't catch too much traffic?

YES! If you leave at 4am or 5am you can do it in like 5.5 hours (done that before too)

IPass will work on the Skyway but no where else.
(good news is you just pick up a ticket once and pay when you are about to leave the state or the tollway) The Gasoline is cheapest in Ohio at the Sunoco off the Ohio Turnpike if you can make it that far BUT the BP Amoco off I-90 is way cheaper than here in Chicagoland too!

On the way home, your better off taking I-294 but do NOT take I-294 on the way there because too many back-ups with construction (I found this out the hard way)

You do drive right past TireRack so if you do this on a Saturday, they only charge $15 mounting and balancing if you wanted to pick up snowies on your way home if you do this on a Saturday!

You are the best man!!! Soooo, thanks

Seems like going I-290 then to I-90 is shorter way from my house than going through I-294. And in 3 years I went through 294 only few times but they were so frustrating ones due to construction and way more trucks than usual.
