Default WTT: Turbo s ECU with Neuspeed p chip for stock ECU.

I am trading the car in and i dont want this chip to go to waste. I want to trade someone with a Turbo S non chipped ECU for my Chipped Neuspeed ECU plus plus $200. Thats half the price of brand new. The chip is non detectable by the dealership, I just thought someone on here might want it. We can UPS Next day them to each other so our car's wont be with out them for more than a day.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT UPGRADE - CHIP UPGRADE
Unleash the power hiding in your factory Engine Control Unit (ECU.) NEUSPEED engineers reprogram your ECU chip to increase turbo boost to approx 1.1 bar (15-16 psi), optimize ignition timing under part throttle and full throttle load, and raise the rev-limiter and top speed governor. Horsepower is increased to approximately 195-200hp at the flywheels for 1999-2001 cars. 2002-up cars are increased to approximately 220-223hp. CARB approved (D236-10) when used with a K&N air filter or NEUSPEED P-Flo.

I really really don't mean to be a jerk here. I will edit my post if I offend, but I was going to swap ECU's with someone and you need to have both cars in the same place at the same time. Also, the dealership is the only person that I have known to be able to swap ECU's without frying them. They usually charge 3 hours labor for this process. I almost had a 6 program Turbo S ECU for $100 until I realized and researched what the process for swapping them was. I really don't mean to ruin your thread and I apologize in advance.

You know what, i am sorry i guess i had no idea there was that much involved. Thanks for the post. Now after researching this it would be more of a head ache to do. I will just trade the car in with the software.

Um...I know several people who have swapped ECU's with ZERO problems...the cars are useless until they get their new "brain" but they can be swapped without "frying" anything. There are several threads about that on the ORG.

I can't find any ORG threads...but there is ALOT of info over at the 'Tex in the Vag-Com forums...you will probably need a Vag-Com and some knowledge of the procedures, but you can get that info from this link, as well as the Vag site.

This is still a good deal for the right person.

Yeah it can definitely be done and has been done before. I can't remember exactly why the cars have to be in the same place at the same time. Something to do with the (what I will call) serial numbers on the engine and the ECU not matching up. You need both cars so that they can be swapped properly or something like that. This was over a year ago so I apologize for not having all my info lined up. But yes, still a good deal for someone if you can figure out how to do it correctly.

I wouldn't go mucking around with my car's "brain" without first having an idea what the procedure was, that is for sure...and as far as both the cars being there, there might be a technical reason, but my biggest reason would be that if you don't have an ECU to put in, your car is a Mighty cool looking paperweight until UPS decides to deliver your NEW ECU...

probably needs to be another Turbo S...but I could be mistaken...not to mention the ECU's might not match...'02 to '01.

Yeah check in to it and let me know. I would be very interested in swaping with you if it would work out. As as far as both car's needing to be there i am heading to Ann Arbor MI on october 7th to swap seats and possibly a suspension so i dont see why i couldnt head south to OH to swap the ECU's with you.

Thanks also for everyone who has offered info on this.
