Time has come it is approaching 100K.
I bought her a another ride today. I got her a
03 Infinity QX4. Sure gonna miss the gas mileage.
We have had this Bug for 7 years. It has had a few ups and downs but still rolling. I got the timing belt & water pump changed, new brakes, tune up, fuel filter, new tires. Had all this done few mos ago before she started back to shool. Oil/filter has been changed every 3K miles of its life with us.

Daugher is in college and drivers it back and forth 300 miles to school.
There is nothing wrong with this car. other than what I mentioned below.
Drives fine. It is GLS leather seats, seat warmers, multi CD changer.
Automatic.

5 years ago daughter hit a man hole cover. I had to get some things fixed. Its all back together and has done well for her. I had to replace oil pan. Did not bend any front end. Did snap the pan off.


2 things to know. When she hit the man hole cover
I had to have both air bags and modulater changed.
Had a bud at his shop do it. He got the bags & modulater in but could not get the light to go off.

A few mos ago when locking with remote it started going dead. I checked this out got information from here. She was using to remote to lock. Now locks with key and its not doing it.

O yea 3 years ago she got hit on th left side by the wheel. I had to replace rt fender and painted the front hood and fenders.

All this is the truth whole truth nuting but the truth so hep me GOD..

I'm in Jackson Tenn between Mem & Nastyville.
The price is $6,200. Daughter drives back and forth to school. Comes home every 3 mos. Says she don't drive at school much. catches the shuttles expcept for Wall Marty trips.

I now have a problem with it. Daughter lost her key
it has been un started 6 weeks. I have copied the mail I posted on 2.0 site.. I need some help

Guys here Iam again with a problem. You guys have
helped me with all my other Bug problems. This is a bit long to explain..

Her 99 NBug was running fine the last time she parked it.

Daughter in college 400 miles away. She rides with a girl frinds to her house for the weekend. Daugher's 99 Bug key drops on the floor out of her purse. That Sunday girlfiends brother finds it. It was his rented car, he is in the Navy and on leave for the weekend. Daugher calls him he found the key. Mails it the 5 days later from the Naval base. 2 weeks it does not arrive. Turns out it showed up in xray as suspisious package and was not mailed. He explained and they said ok we will mail out next day.. Its been a month and 5 days no key.

I call VW and get a key made I have to drive 100 miles show title and my ID.. I get a key to daughter. Her other key was a switch blade remote. This is a regular VW Key. Does remote have something locked out from last time she locked it?
Bugs been sitting at school now 6 weeks locked.

Gets back from FALL break last night. 1:30am puts key in and of course its dead. I got her a hot box. I would not start it.. Got her cables and jumped it off. It started and ran. Disconnected the cables and it went dead. Alternator I'm thinking. I told her to let stay chargeing for 20 min.. She does this and disconnects cabels and it is till running. Charges up. Cuts off the key.
Tries to start it back. Puts key in turns things light up. It starts for about 5 sec and cuts off..

Today.. I call the Auto Zone tell em daughter needs a new battery. Bought a new one paid this guy to go put it on. He does. Daughter turns on the key. Check Engine light and battery light comes on. The car turns over it starts for a few seconds and dies. She has gas in it. Could be a fuse?? Could it be the KEY?

Being 400 miles away DAD is trying to get this going. What do you guys think it might be and what do I need to do next. I'm working this weekend and can't go down. I may have to go get it and pull it back home. Any IDEALS are appreciated.
Yall have got me out of messes before here is another.
