cd player?

I just signed up for this because my girlfriend bought a 2000 beetle and she wants a cd player. i heard somewhere(correct me if i am wrong) that all beetle were wired up to have a cd changer in the trunk. is this true? otherwise how can i get a cd player for her? i cant find any adapters to fit the oval shaped radio so i could just buy one from circuit city or something. please help me.

In the trunk, look under the carpet on the left side. You will see where to mount, and under a little door up the side, will be the connection. Check it out!

Look at the connection end, and buy one with that end, or look for an adaptor. Ebay is a great resource for CD changers.

how many different style adapters? if i bought one on ebay and it turned out to be the wrong one could i buy an adapter for that?

pretty sure it has to be panisonic...if you can return it i have one for 140 shipped to your door OEM 6disc changer
