Post FS: Bentley Volkswagen New Beetle: Service Manual : 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002

Hi there, all!

No longer have the bug, so can now sell the service manual. It's a Bentley manual I got for x-mas a couple years ago. Barely used. Some minor dirt/dust on the bottom of it from sitting on the garage shelf.

Here is a link to a amazon.com listing for the book with greater details: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/083...=14ZYRTMU6CNH4

Looking for $40 plus shipping, but would prefer someone fairly local for a drop-off.

Thanks!
JATS

I'm interested in it, and how far are you from either dayton or columbus. I'm right on the border of Indiana and ohio on I-70.

I'm just on the western edge of Columbus, couple minutes from West Jefferson on Route 40 (Broad Street.)

I'm heading to Tenn. Friday night and returning Sunday, have today off with class tonight at 6:30, and work normal weekday hours, 8-5, Mon. through Fri. Thoughts?

I work normal weekday hours too, and have classes on tues and thur. nights, so the weekends would work best for me. Would next weekend work?

So far, so good!

I'll go to the post office, see what the shipping rate would be, too, just for comparison. I'll PM you the details.

Hello! I have missed your enlightened input around here.

What did you replace the NB with? anything fun?

and for you and Halo, it would be cheaper to just send it USPS "media mail" than to drive after it.

Hiya Bill, long time to chat!

Yeah, I was thinkin' the same thing, with the gas money and time, it might be cheaper to ship it.

I traded the NB in on a 2001 Honda CR-V EX. Was looking for something a bit more tender for my behind and a little higher. I liked the look of the 1st Gen CR-V better than the others, and this one I found only had 58000 miles on it. I also swung the deal $4000 in my favor, so that helped.

Haven't been on here or anywhere all that much the past few years. Was hoping to surprise some folks at a GTG, but life just sort of got in the way.

Still flyin'?

A CRV huh? I know about life getting in the way, that's for sure--have been trying self-employment since last fall when I got "down-sized". I still have been flying, but not as much as I'd like, the plane needs some major TLC and money is tight for the recreational activities. The funny thing is, if we still went at it in Hot Hoo-ha we'd have so much less to disagree about now I think.

Wouldn't that be interesting? We'll have to have a beer some time, when life can get off our backs.

I've been dealing with new jobs, classes, acting and writing, and an on again, off again sick wife. That self-employment sounds like a tough challenge, but a lot of me wishes I could do that.

Here are a couple shots of the new ride. Just bought four new tires for him yesterday. So far, I'm pretty happy. Looking forward to a few mods when I can get the cash together.

That's what I'm really hoping for, something that'll last to 150,000 miles with minimal mechanical failure. That and more space, higher sightlines, and a bit softer of a ride. So far, from what I've seen online, the parts are cheaper, too. I liked the 1st Gen look and feel compared to the 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen (although the engine in those later Gens would have been nice) so I went that angle.

It's not a perfect vehicle, has some little issues (probably have to replace the lock mechanism on one of the doors) but it is growing on me.

Did almost shed a tear letting go of little Blue, though. He's a good little guy, and will hopefully find a good home! He always put a smile on my face-- except when he got stuck in the snow this winter.

Yeah i know it would be, but I figure I could pick it up on my way to Beth's if she has free time to finish up her gauge install too. Since she's been working on them for almost a mo. now lol

HaloUmpaLumpa, looks like this weekend is pretty wide open, if you'd like to schedule a time for payment/pick-up?

I also look free Tuesday evening and Thursday evening.
