Wow my dash covers are cheap compared to these body kits. Sounds like this seller is legit. Don't worry the herd will gang up on you until you can prove you are legit.

right. someone in this forum must know someone in england. i am happy for you guys to send someone to look at the kits, take as many photos as they want and report back to you. no matter how many photos i send they could all be fake and you all know this. i have been caught by skammers on a uk aircooled site before.

there is also a deal pending with a guy over here so as soon as he picks his up i will divulge his details if he agree and you can let him tell you about them

kits readvertised due to time wasters. 3 have sold, which with my math makes 7 left. can provide details of people who have purchased the kits so they can confirm the kits are real and whats left!

OK People,

This is probably a dead thread, but here it is. I want one of these kits. I really do. I agree that it is difficult to trust a situation like this. I know I work dam hard for my money.

Anyways... Here is the FINAL STRAW! I believe this is the only way it would work.

I am willing. Are you willing? Lets see if he is!

I have come up with a way to minimize almost all of the risk. The only person that would take a risk would be the seller. The only risk would be...

A TANK OF GAS and TIME BOXING A KIT UP(which would have to be done anyways.... he is going to sell them eventually).

Lets see if the seller is willing...

But if you guys are still skeptical and not trusting the situation... then the only other alternative is I go buy them all and bring them back here. Before I would do that you guys would need to commit to me! Deposits would have to be placed!

Let me know guys!

This is what I email him...

Hello,

First things first.

I have been reading the forums. Everybody is skeptical. So am I. I would like
to approach this a few different ways. I am willing to take the first leap.
You would need to meet me half way. (not physically) With a purchase of one
kit, you will be able to show all the people in the Forums that this is legit.
This is my proposal and the only way I will do business in this situation.

I want to purchase a kit, but I am also interested in possibly purchasing all 7
of them. Below is what I would need to do either...

For one kit...

I need a phone number where I can reach you. I need the address to the shop
where they are located. If it is a place of business, I need the business name
and phone number. I would need you to take the kit to the shippers. They would
need to inspect it and Manifest/Document the contents. When they verify and
send a Certified Receipt of Goods. I will send Full payment to you. Then I
will show them a receipt that you got paid and after that, they will ship it to me.

For all 7 kits...

First I will secure interests here in the states. Once I have done that, this
is what I would expect.

You will purchase a round trip REFUNDABLE ticket for me(only me) to fly TO YOU
and Back. (It's REFUNDABLE so you can get your money back at any time) It would
probably be a 2-3 day stay... to box up and take to shipper....

Once I would get there, I would inspect, Box up and we would take it to the
shippers. Full payment would be completed before any shipment is done.

We would need to negotiate a final price for all 7 kits.

Please let me know if you want to do business.

I'm pretty sure the kits are already on their way. Contact beetlecupkid, he's the one that's been in charge. You've been gone for a long time.

OK here is the deal. I TRIED every last angle ans to be honest I dealt with nothing with lame buyers. GINGER BEETLE is for real. I bought a kit from him. It is currently in route from the UK to me. I every time was ready to move forward and contact people to collect cash they would back out. He is legit. I had a friend of mine inspect the kits before I sent the cash over. I sent the cash to my buddy and he paid ginger beetle. So do not fret the opportunity. It is a real deal.

Well,

I am biting the bullet. I am ordering 4 kits, possibly 5, depending on the shipping costs. That would leave 3 or 2 left. If there is anybody who wants in on this, NOW is the time to get in. It would require a NON-Refundable (after the money has been paid) deposit of $1000. I'm hoping to have the transaction complete within 30 days.

QUESTION>>>> Are these like the last complete sets in the world???? I was just wondering.

The prices for the kits are great, but! the shipping is killer. The more people that jump in, the cheaper it is.

My estimation is...

Kits 900 GBP - $ 1602.81 <-----

Shipping .... @ $ 3600.00 <-----
Total .......... @ $5,200.00

If you jump on now...

RSI Kit................................$ 1602.81

Shipping for 4 people>>........@$ 900.00
sub-total..............................$2,502.81
plus shipping to your house.......... @ 300-400 more
Total..................................$ 2,800-2,900

If you already have a silver or blue beetle... you don't have to paint it, you guys are lucky.

If you guys still want a kit after I get them back here, the price will be $ 5,200 shipped to you in the US.

Just to add some more info on anybody who wants a RSI beetle, let me tell you that changing involves a lot of work:

First of all since the kit is a lot wider than stock you will need new wheels and / or spacers.
I dont know if the kit includes the inner fender mud covers, if not you will have to make em yourself since VW doesnt have em.
You will al so have to cut about an inch if the inner bumper metal crash protection for it to fit. (its a small part but a PITA to do)
Frontwise the lighst are perfect and fit perfect, the turn signals are another thing sisnce you will probably need to make changes to the wiring harness.
On the back things get trickier since the back stop ligths fit k but the RSI parts are missing a small dent where the rear lights sit on so you will have to make a small dent inside or make a small metal support (i did the latter)
The rear spoiler weights a lot and WILL make your rear hatch have a inward bump if you drive fast (80mph plus) and viola the spoiler will do it. Solution is to make an internal metal brace in the hatch and the problem is gone. (I opted for not putting he rear spoiler since people tend to grab it and try to put things on top of them)
The other parts are fairly easy but the door sideskirts are difficult to put properly and have a good seal.

All in all you are atalking of 40 to 50 hours work

BUT ITS WORTH EVERY SECOND... and the beetle looks BAD A@@ as hell

BTW you also need to put some wire mesh on the front I had to luck of getting the front exagonal (honeycomb like) Ibiza turbo plastic cover and it fits the front almost perfectly ( a very small cut and you are done.

Here is a pic of mine almost finished 13 months ago..

Notice that thre are 3 diferent RSI bodies:

The ones being sold here are made in the same plant in europe for Authentic RSI Beetles, that include sall parking lighs holes and plate (european) holders, also they have almost the same holding pattern of the original Beetle.

The One sold as a cup kit in England lacks some parking lights hokles but retain the plate licence holders (like the black one from the UK in the photos section)

The One I have got is a littl e bit sturdier, ticker and heavier, sin its the standard European Cup Racing series, hence it doesnt have the plate holders space, no holes from plate illumination and NO parking ligts SO in some ways it would be illegal to use in the streets. (see photos how it doesnt have any kind of licence place !!! IT LOOKS AWESOME, well I like It.
Mine is a lot more difficult to install but in some ways it will last longer since its made to resist some bumps from racing.

Any questions feel free to ask
