Default 2006 New Beetle TDI - ? about selling

I am interested in selling my 2006 TDI, it only has 8000 miles on it, but I have some pretty severe scratches on the either side under the front grill where I scraped the curb a couple of times before I learned to park without a bumper. Other than that it is in really good shape.

I am wondering how much of a hit I should expect to take on selling the car, with this type of body damage? I'm also wondering if it wouldn't be easier (though probably get less $$) to take it back to the dealer and trade it in for something used with a lower payment.

Any advice is welcome!

Tami

Don't do something you may regret later. The 2006 New Beetle TDI is the last year VW put the diesel engine in a New Beetle.

There is a pretty large demand for the VW TDI, and you should have no problem getting top dollar for it, regardless of the damage you "inflicted" on the poor thing.

Go to Edmunds dot com, and look into the value. A very good way to figure out what to ask.

Best of luck to you.

Default I know, I know...

I absolutely love this car, just not loving the payments. Since I bought it I have had child support added to my expenses, and I may be about to take a BIG pay cut for a dream job, so the car may have to go....

But you cannot beat the fact that I just got 560 miles out of the last tank of bio, and that's with only 8000 miles on the car. VERY nice!

Thanks for the advice...

Replacing the grill or repairing it is cheap and simple. You can probably get close to the original sticker price on an 06 TDI

You might do well to advertise on Fred's

You'd probably get more than you owe on it.
