I have a ECU I took outta my 2000 NB 1.8T after it was totaled. It was chipped (APR stock and 91(soldered)) in 2003, and at that time the shop that chipped it provided me the stock chip in case I would ever want to replace it. I never opened the silver box to know is involved.

Is this any help to you? Not sure what your ultimate goal is?
