I changed your title, and took out the "trade".

Good luck with your sale. Got any pictures?

Everything was done by an independant shop in Shady Grove MD. I have receipts for the purchase of everything and a receipt for the labor. Also, I have the warranty paperwork too.

Bump for seriousness now that the window regulator and clips were replaced.

Ready for sale.
We never did get the automatic NB mentioned above...too ragged out and I thought better of it since the automatic trannies are so prone to crapping on us.

Anyhow,
PRICE IS $5,500.
Will deliver anywhere within 300 miles if you split my flight back to DC.

It was an offer, no one accused you of being desperate or stupid.

With that low-ball offer, you must have assumed we were stupid or desperate. I mean I understand negotiation...10-20% ****, even 30%...but your offer is about half of my most recent asking price. It is $2400 below! $2,400 could be a whole nother car. And we are not talking about a $40,000 car where you can negotiate $3-4-or 5K ...we are talking $5,400 dollar car.
And to top it off, you have not even seen the car and there is nothing wrong with it.
You should look elseware.

Oh yeah, Bump!

UPDATED 6/26
I had the engine replaced in a 98 Beetle. The engine has 85k miles and I beleive it overheated, the head is bad but repairable. (purchased that way)

The other parts: intake, sensors, and anything not currently connected to the block/head are the ones from either the replacement engine which was a 01 Jetta with 53k miles or also from the beetle. Everything was AEG. I am not sure what was replaced and what was left over from the o1 jetta.

Please look at the parts carefully, ask any and all questions and make sure you want the item before I ship it. I can get better pics of specific parts.

i am trying to keep the heavy stuff local to avoid dumb shipping charges."

Is this the same beetle? the same one your selling on vortex, along with parts of a wasted motor? Just so we all understand what your selling here... your selling a 98 beetle that has had an engine replaced? is the 86 k miles the mileage on the car or the replacement engine?

......I will look elsewhere, just as you requested. great sales technique....

That is the one. Engine has 54K miles on the engine and 86K on the car. Paperwork for EVERYTHING and Warranty included. I am not hiding anything...we are all on the same page..I even posted here on the NB.ORG the drama and what not I went through with the engine replacement and other issues. Keep looking, you will find my posts.

Yes, I am selling the old crapper parts here and on the Vortex. Many happy customers later, I have recouped over $400 from the old engine and let other engines live on with it's peices.

While your at it..here is my Craigslist ad, where it explains it somemore. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...418931553.html

Keep looking. You won't find one with this much work done in this shape.
