Lightbulb Group Buy on fiberglass headliners!!!!!

Okay all, let's make this happen!

I've been talking with Top Shop headliner manufacturers about this fiberglass headliner:

Regularly $330 shipped, if we can get 10 people to purchase we'll get them for $250, to your door, each!

They come unpainted, and are only available for Beetles without a sunroof.

Checks will be mailed to me, then I will submit the total to the company at the end of the offered time. I'll keep this going from 3 weeks starting today, so I need an answer by Tue, October 23. I will submit the orders to them in the order I get them. Since there are 3 guys making these in the shop, and they only have 1 mold for the New Beetle, they say it will take about 1 month from when the order is submitted before the last person gets their top delivered.

If interested, please post in this thread, and send me a private message.

Thanks very much, everybody, now let's get these ordered!

I PM'd the link to Jason...he was telling me at the Houston show last weekend that he might be interested...he doesn't use his sunroof anyway.

Well thanks for the bumpage, anyway, everybody. With me and Danny we only need 8 more, and in a country full of New Beetles we should be able to find those 8, right?

And I think I can mention it to JD this weekend, right 'toine?

And if he does want 1, that's only 7 more people we'll need!

I hadn't thought of it until someone at work mentioned it to me today, but I'm going to let the New Beetle owners of the Tulsa VW Club know about this, too. It only makes sense, right?

If we can get our 10 in any way, shape, or form then by all means get 'em. I don't know anyone here locally that is into their beetle this much. Otherwise I would spread the word. If Wasabi didn't have a sun roof I would probably consider 2 of them.

They still haven't been able to track down the pictures of one right off the mold. They said it'd been a few years since they've actually sold a Beetle top, and they make them for quite a few cars, so the pics probably got lost on their computer. I'll check again in a few days, just to make sure nothing else came up.

Also the non-sunroof cars have that ceiling cubby where the sunroof controls would normally go. From the shape in the picture, it looks like the cubby extends further down than the sunroof controls.

Hey Al!

I was thinkin of going with some sort of flame motif. Or maybe even a subtle ghost VW image, ooorrrrrr having the hands in the VW sign done in a ghost like paint job.
