anyone have a blown 5 speed? I need some parts off it.

you can read the whole saga here. Beetle pops out of 5th gear

basically, what I need is the Selector gear and ring and guts out of any VW 5 speed from 1998-2004 (mk4 years)

they are labeled as part # 12 in the picture below

I have a call in to these guys:

to see what there services will cost me. to POSSIBLY reuse my existing slider/selector mechanism..

but if that doesn't work, I want a fall back plan.

all new parts from Impex are over $700 and I just plain cannot afford that.
