This is an excellent deal, and someone will be buying a tremendous car. Great color, 3 years or 22,000 miles left on the bumper-to-bumper warranty, and the TDI engine will last hundreds of thousands of miles with proper maintenance. The NB is especially fun to drive with the diesel engine. For anyone not acquainted with modern diesel technology, the diesel is no longer smoky and smelly and it's actually very quiet compared to the diesels of old. I have 2 VW TDI's, and I couldn't be happier. Most gas stations sell diesel fuel these days, and the fuel economy will be 40+ MPG with highway driving.

The Cheat, I can't believe you are selling this fine vehicle!

(I think he's trying to buy a Turbo S....)

We sold Betel, the 2003 TDI, in 2005 for 15K. Good luck to you. Someone will get a great car.

We Miss you Betel!

(Betel, driving away with his new family.....)

Here's the deal: I WILL entertain trades and cash, but ONLY for the following:

Passat TDI wagon (95-97)-ANY mileage
NB TDI/2.0 (looking for one that would go for about say, $7000)
Jetta TDI (MK3)-ANY mileage

-the NB MUST be a GLS with sunroof with MANUAL transmssion.

I'm going to need at least $10000 cash for any of the trades to work however. That's very close to whatever my payoff is. I won't reveal the exact figure, but just know it's somewhere between 10k and 10.5k.

Preference would be towards the Passat wagon for trades, but I'm not going to turn down a reasonable offer on the other two.

I know what the car is worth, I know what the market is, and I can assure you all that my car is worth every penny.

Note: if I am offered a trade for an older NB TDI or 2.0, I will be un-modding the car. Heck, I may do that anyways if I can't get what I want for it.

I hate to do this, but it must be done for my future's sake. The loss of a car payment will allow to save some money for a house purchase in a few years and also eliminate some debt.

Car is sticking around for a little while longer.

GTI isn't coming until June, and I was able to refinance it (even with my ass-tacular credit).
