Default 2001 vortex blue, 1.8t, 72k, $9300 obo

2001 VW New Beetle
1.8turbo
automatic
air conditioning
power locks/windows/trunk/gas door/sunroof
tilt wheel
cruise control
manual seats
special “internet-only” color “Vortex Blue”
black leather interior (perforated leather)
heated seats
iPod/mp3 player ready
stock rims, not hubcaps
tapedeck
ready to hook up 6-disc changer
power locks
key fob with remote locking
approx 72,000 miles
regular oil changes and tune-ups
2nd owner
certified by VW
100% stock
Selling because of financial reasons. I love this car and wish I could keep it!
asking $9300 obo
located in Grand Rapids, MI; will drive "a little" to meet buyer (not cross-country)
am also in the market for beater+cash trade.

Small scrape (that seems to have been painted over, from previous owner) on drivers' mirror.

Chip in hood (there are a few smaller ones, but this is the largest).

Ding on passenger's door; probably from another car in a parking lot.

Scuff on 1 wheel.

The headrest posts were shortened because they wouldn't go down all the way, so that the bottom of the headrest touched the seat. I'm short and this height obstructed my view, plus my head didn't sit right against them. They can be lifted up quite a bit still.

I apologize for the dirt. I work on a dirt road. Also any dirt inside is dust, fully cleanable. She cleans up VERY nicely. There are no stains or defects in the interior.

The sunroof is fully sliding and motorized and the rear seat folds down(not sure if I mentioned that).

The iPod set up is not stock, but it has been wired into the back of the stock headunit. It connects to any mp3 player's headphone jack.

A new deadpedal has been installed. The black rubber one was replaced with a chrome one with black treads.

The turbo is SO much fun. I LOVE how this car drives and handles. I also estimate the gas mileage at 28-32mpg. I drive it approx 50 miles per day on the highway, to and from work, and not much in between.

Any questions, shoot me a pm or post!

Gawd, I love Vortex Blue New Beetles! - I too own one and I love to look at others as well. I never get tired of the color.

Good luck selling your Beetle...you might be sorry someday, this color doesn't fall out of trees too often.

Regards,
Tom

I just love that color!! There's one around here and it's awesome. My perfect NB would be a new vortex blue diesel loaded. Like that will ever happen!! (Hey VW....) Good luck with selling it.

What makes yours a great deal?
$7k is a lot less than the car is even worth (per KBB, NADA, Edmunds). maybe that's all she owes on it and wants to break even. but i think it's too low of a price, personally. good for a buyer though.

well, on Autotrader, you can get a Bug with
80k miles on it for $7-$12k
40k miles on it for $7-$12k
there is no consistency in pricing anywhere, that i've found. so mine's right in the middle.....
i just have to sell it.

I know I would have to see the other car before i sent any $$$ in that case...good luck, VBGirl, that is a good price, IMHO.
