Most dealers charge you. Some won't. But the cost of those that do charge varies greatly (from $25 to $85, depending). Call your dealer to find out what they charge (and/or call around the area you live in to find out if one charges less, or not at all)... otherwise you could be in for a shock.

If im not mistaken last time I tried to get the code for my radio I had to call the dealership where my car was purchased to get it free. Once contacted I had to give the model year, and vin number of my car to get the code. Can you even get the code with just the radio itself? The auction has ended for the radio but I'm just asking for general info.
