Default '98 NB project, $1700!!!!!!!

Drpped price!! $1700 CASH!!

Okay, here's the scoop. I bought this car for my then 17 y/o daughter. She drove it like a 17 y/o. Now I have bought her a Jetta, and hopefully, she will drive it like a 21 Y/O. (She's actually paying for ALL of this one, so it's her dime this time!) The oil pump chain broke and she toasted the engine at 80K or so. I bought a wrecked '03 w/ 3,000 miles on it and swapped the engine/trans into the '98. The car now shows 125K and has a few issues.
A friend was driving it on our dirt road and ran over something that busted a nice hole in the old radiator. Replaced with a NEW radiator. The small cooling fan was also busted in the melee, so I wired the AC fan to the small fan sitch. Seems to work fine. (The AC condenser was left out, the compressor was bad and I had no intentions of fixing it.) The cold running sensor at the throttle body apparently has decided to go the way of Hoffa.
I unplugged it at the TB and the car runs fine after it warms up. No clue as to the cost to fix it. Used TB for the '98 year could be fitted for pretty cheap and fix it, I'm thinking. Windshield is cracked, Driver's side running board has a dent from a cub. (Told ya, 17 Y/O!) Foglight grill is gone..nothing there, really! Drver's side HL bucket has a broken , whatever the hell you call the thing that tightens the HL into the bucket. Interior is dirty and the front panels have been taken out to access the TCM, ECM. Have them in the car though. I'll have some pics soon. I just am tired of it, and have just bought a '64 beetle that I am restoring. Anyway, if you want a cheap NB that you can spend some time, fix a few things and drive, $1700 cash for it this weekend!! CALL ME!! 229-834-5080. I'm about giving it away....

I wondered why you had all those CyberGreen parts in the past. Good luck with the sale...

$2500? Wow, that's cheap. I know someone who'd love one, and has the skill to work on it, but he's short on cash. Please keep us updated on when you sell it (I'm letting him know regardless).

Thanks!

Told ya it was dirty. It is presentable when cleaned....really. The grey, "I get stained from air" seat covers are just that....stained.

I even will throw in a set of cream cloth seats that need recovering if you want them!! Such a nice guy.....(Don't want to haul them to the dump myself!)

It hasn't rained in South Georgia with any significance in MONTHS!! I wish it would rain.........wash some of this dust down!! It does look unhappy though. It needs a new owner that will love it and pet it, and call it George. (Or whatever you want to name it!)

I'm right on the Florida line on I-75, just north of Valdosta, GA.

The trans is working fine. When I replaced the 98 engine and trans with the '03 setup, the trans had to learn the 98 software but I've driven the car about 30,000 miles with it with no problems. Title is clear. As in the first post, it needs what I believe to be a cold start switch.
