Do you have to cut the rear valence to make it fit? I have an 01 bug non turbo s. Thinkin about it right now. Don't know if I want the quiet system or not. Wonder if it will be throaty like my neuspeed 2.25.

First, the muffler is designed like the OEM NB bumper. Downturn tips so no cutting of the OEM bumper.

If you know anything about the GHL **QUIET** system, you know it's far from quiet. It sounds like a VR6... throaty... and when you step on it... it roars!

oooh...you're in FL, and right on the way to my mom's pad in Naples. I have been meaning to take a ride down there.

Still got the leatherette seats?

Sorry... the seats are sold... I wanted to sell them before our move to Florida.

You're welcome to check out the exhaust though!

BUMP for a good seller and a good exhaust.

How goes the APR III+?
I guess the sale of parts is relative to the upgrades?
What exhaust system do you plan to go with?
Any updates on the APR rep who was to join us and discuss
New Beetle stage III+ system?

Again...bump.

If I wanted exposed tips for some reason I could take it to a muffler shop to have them put a tip that would go under the bumper and out you think? hehe i'm kinda of considering this system. I need one bad since I have a 2.25 crap catback.

Yes... there are tips from various manufacturers that will extend from under the bumper. A muffler shop could do it as well.

We are finalizing the dates for the tuning this week. It will be sometime this month. I'm going to go with the APR 3" catback based on their recommendation. I haven't asked Chris to join us online yet - we've had ALOT of other things to discuss. I'm sure he'd be willing to do once the tuning is done. It actually makes better sense to wait until after the tuning so he'll have definitive answers after having solved any issues.

Somebody should definintely jump on this exhaust! Downturn tips are very hard to find in classifieds!!

One more thing. Why are you selling it? Just to get money for another 3" catback? Just wondering. Is the APR one that much better to switch?

I'm selling because APR is providing free custom tuning for my car, free labor for the installation of the Stage 3+ kit, and parts at or below cost. They want me to use their exhaust so I said OK. They do not presently offer tuning for Beetles so I'm letting them use mine for 2 weeks as a test mule.

If it wasnt for this unique arrangement, I'd stick with the GHL system becasue it's the only system dyno proven to ad 15 hp! Plus, all GHL exhausts come with a lifetime warranty. They cost $789 new.
