Red face At Least it Missed my Hair.......

Happy Fathers Day all!

To celebrate, we took the train downtown, and had lunch. To counter all the calories we took in, we decided to walk to a distant train station (across the river). We took in Saturday Market, and window shopped on the way to the bridge. As I was looking in to the window at the closed Outdoor Store, I felt something hit my chest. I thought someone threw something at me. I looked down, and discovered that I had been poop-bombed by a dang pigeon! Oh My God! The first thing I wanted to know was "DID IT HIT MY HAIR?????" I was assured by my laughing family that my hair was spared. We had no napkins, nothing, I didn't have my purse. I think I said "What the hell did that thing eat??" I used my drivers license (thankfully brought with me in case I was hit by a bus)to scrape off what I could, and luckily just zipped up my vest (my favorite VW vest, the inside was hit) all the way up, and I was set.

We continued our walk, but I couldn't wait to get home, I felt so icky. Sorry no pictures. I ripped the stuff off and threw them in the wash before anyone could grab a camera...

I Hate Pigeons!

Feel free to laugh. At least, it missed my hair!

I got poop bombed once in 2nd grade at recess... the kids teased me for months after that! I just remember the teacher taking me to the bathroom and soaking my head in the sink and telling me how nasty bird germs are... as if I did it on purpose and set up my place, just for the bird to hit me. argh. The teacher called my mom... and I remember that the teacher tried to make it sound like it was my fault. My mom thought it was funny and she came and picked me up so I wouldnt have to take the bus home... my momma told me it happens to everyone at somepoint. lol

It was a rough day for my 7 year old self. rough.

Bare skin? Near a water source? No problem. (relatively speaking, anyway...). Clothing and hair? A problem.

It's comforting to know that I am not the only one to have had this happen. Thanks for sharing, and not laughing too hard.

Bummer about the experience. I was bombed by a sparrow at work last week.

I should have known better than to sit at the table under the tree. Luckily it was just my arm. Little bastards. And the people at work just encourage them by feeding them while they eat.

Glad your inner child was not wounded by the experience.

LOL Deb! Bird poop is nasty!
I've never been pooped on but when I was in Cozumel a few years ago I was having my pics taken with 2 parrots. I set my purse down and when I was done I picked it up and slung it over my shoulder. There was parrot poop ALL over it and it got smushed on my WHITE t-shirtand my hand! Good thing we were headed back to the ship!
