Those cool roll bars totally worked!!! Awesome.

My close friend has a 2004 NBC, and I have always felt very safe in it.

(But please remember, buckling up is a big MUST)

Smile I still want one...

Look on the bright side.. what a great story to tell if that happens to you!

Looks like the car held up as designed. Just remember to duck if you roll your vert.

btw... hope my clients with verts don't roll their cars, I don't need any more losses. I own an insurance agency... lol

For that test they had to improvise to get that thing to fly like that. I guess its manditory that they perform a rollover test on verts. (rear head protectors work)

The sedan couldn't be budged off of all 4 wheels during the test, so I wouldn't worry about rolling it unless you find a ditch, or large curb to assist.

Crash test dummies like to have fun, too.

And yes, I'd still own one... wait, I do.

That was awesome. I feel very safe in any new beetle i ride in or drive, including the vert. It seems like you would have to try pretty hard to flip those cars though, they hug the road well. Too bad the video doesnt have sound though

I've seen another version of this video and they have this launcher thing that chucks the bug into the test area. It looks like the easiest way to get the headlight out is to either roll it or smash it into something
