then..... at the end of the day, hot chicks in bikinis will follow you to your home!! Why doesn't VW run this stuff in the US? The German VW site is better overall than VW.COM as well... So no RSI Bug, no commercials with hot chicks... VW is not giving the US any of the cool stuff!

Cute commercial. Possibly US VW is worried about litigation for implying that the bug can get you some action You wouldn't want people to sue VW for having to drive all the way to the beach and coming back without any hot girls In general, I find the European commercials have more humor.

The Germans (well the rest of the World for the most part) have a much more laid back view of sex also. I work for Continental, and the US ad campaigns resemble nothing of their Euro counterparts...

The VW commercial is really nice. I wonder where it is filmed as this is definately not German scenery.
Even since we're neighbours, we don't get these commercials. Can't remember to have ever seen a New Beetle commercial on tv

Really? why? there's nothing harmfull in this commercial. And there would be noone here that will get offended by this.

I understand exactly where you're coming from, Mazzzja. I was born in Europe myself, and U.S. television for me is a study in prudery. You shoud see how they cut the movies up! Polish TV is not as open-minded about sex as the Netherlands, but it's nowhere near as prudish as the American TV. But I'll never forget my first trip from Poland to the Netherlands when I was 12. We walk into this family hotel lobby, that also doubled as the living room. There's the whole family, 3 generations from grandparents to toddlers and they're all comfortably watching an X-rated movie together. I thought that was really cool and open-minded, and different in a way that really made me think.

Why are these girls following those guys...they drive to the beach together in a "chick car..." They are clearly not going to be interested in girls in bikinis...

Glad you all enjoyed the little commercial I "found". If VW would run stuff like this on US TV, their Bug sales would surely go up. Their marketing of the New Beetle is partly the cause of the "chick car" stuff... I still don't get it though. I drove a 1.8T awhile ago and it was no chick car.

Lucky dawg. I was living in Hawaii during their heyday, NOT a stop on the tour.
HOWEVER, I caught the PIL tour for 'Rise' (their best album IMO) and the Beastie Boys were the opening act (they sucked SO bad)!
