The Velvet Crush
"Soft Sounds" as well as "Stereo Blues" Both are fantastic for fans of 70s rock bands like Big Star, Badfinger, etc. I think they are out of Rhode Island originally. They are frequently used as Matthew Sweet's backup band. He produced much of their recordings.

Today i will be listening to the sounds of Big Star.
I'm going to follow the whole gamut of releases in order... #1 Record (72) Radio City (73) Third (75) Sister Lovers (75) Live (74) Beale Street Green (72-80) Live at Missouri University 4/25/93 Chris Bell "I Am The Cosmos" (75ish) Couldn't find Nobody Can Dance, might have left with the ex, but i doubt it. If anyone doesn't know who Big Star is, just listen to the theme song to That 70s Show since it is their song In The Street as done by Cheap Trick. Their singer is Alex Chilton, the namesake of the well known song by The Replacements. |
