Thumbs up

Leonard Bernstein conducting the New York Philharmonic:
The Entire Petrushka Ballet, and The Firebird Suite.
Now if I only had Rite of Spring in there, I'd be set, all of them are by Igor Stravinsky. He wrote Petrushka as a break between Firebird and Rite of Spring, it's a very fun(but short) ballet. I wish I hald the whole Firebird ballet though.

I am listen to Mozart's Symphony #41 in C Major , Jupiter, Andante cantable. SO emotional.

Fav classical....Moonlite Sonata and Ravel's Bolero.

May I suggest.... this weekend you will rent this film and listen to the wonderful score. The train sequence is so moving, you'll see. Listen in surround sound if you got it.

Its a great film, strange but holds your attention til the end. It won an Oscar (not that thats how I gauge films) from Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli. If you like Anime in any way, you'll love this movie.

Maybe I should get Roger Eberts Job, the "2 thumbs up guy"

i'm not a huge fan of soundtracks, nor movies for that matter. i have a difficult time sitting through a whole flick. i just feel like i should be doing something else. the only movies that really grab and hold my attention are japanese films. japanese really know how to slap a movie together. two of my favs are juon and audition.

Bless your soul....are you ADD? Well, I bet you will like this film. Its kinda bazzar, very Japanese with out a doubt. If you do see it, let me know. When my whole family saw it while on vacation, we left to theatre a bit stunned. We now have the DVD. Its worth the time.
Best2U, Gail

PS: Blue Submarine #6 is a fav too.
