ugly miata is driveable!!!

well.... our ugly little miata finally got put back together. (this was about a month ago, but i haven't been around much- sorry guys) yea!!! we've had this thing for a while and it hasn't been driveable but it's up and running. nathan even took a small drag strip last saturday. (1/8 mile i think)

anywho, here are some pics of our lovely ugly car. the night crew at work stole the speakers out of it. it was also recently burglarize for $1.50 in change.

Hey, are those small air intakes where the turn signals used to be?? I see a guy almost every day with a Miata that has those as well.

Just wondered what the heck they are for.

Miata's are great club cars. Take it to a road course one time and you may never leave...;-)

I sat in one once in a showroom. Problem was I couldn't close the door because I couldn't get my knee out of the way....

That pretty much sucked, cuz I really liked them when they came out. When I first sat in the Beetle, I was amazed that I actually had more room than I needed. I was going to the VW dealer to rule OUT the beetle, cuz most people I talked to said I wouldn't fit. I wanted to be sure.

they provide additional air flow into the engine bay to keep operating temps lower, says hubby. he is planning on tracking it the next AutoX.

thanks for all the awesome responses. no, miatas aren't ugly, ours is, though. it's brutally hot in texas, too and the glass thingie on the top is torn out. we picked this car up for $850. it's a 91 and it's got 128K on it. not much more than my 00 Beetle, Pookie with 111K.
