did you buy your NB new or used?

if this has been done before, sorry. but i was wondering, did you buy your NB new or used? personally, i think they're kinda pricey and i'll never buy a new one myself. but, i feel i got a steal on mine ($7300).

so, new or used? and why?

I bought Cosmo brand new for $14,200 out the door. If I hadn't gotten the fabric treatment he would've been cheaper. I qualified for every single incentive and rebate VW and Greenbrier VW had to offer: Military discount, previous VW customer, previous Greenbrier customer. So for brand new I couldn't shake a stick at that!!!

I'd always wanted a Turbo S but at the time they were retailing for what, $24,000? Nope. So I gor Hermione used out the door for $18,000. I know that sounds expensive but knowing what the TS is, the low mileage (17,900 at the time), the remainder of the factory warranty, and some of the stuff we were going to swap from Cosmo, it made Hermione worth it.

i'll never be able to afford a new one, ever. but a used one will do me just fine. as someone who's now bought new and used, i can say for me, used is the way to go. more car for the money, methinks.

Mine was "previously cared for." It was my first used car for me, all others have been new. It was nice not to have a payment due each month

I bought Chip new. I saw the color and had to have it. I don't usually get new cars but I couldn't let this one get away I did buy the 71 used

I bought Pomelo used on June 5, 2001 for $12,500 with taxes and fees. I bought used because I hate buying new. Pomelo was 1 year old. Had 12,000 miles on the clock and I am technically the first owner because she was the finance managers car at a dealership. Since she had over 8000 miles on the clock they could not sell her as new so they sent her to Auction where I came across her and bought her.

So I guess Im both too... I bought a used-new car. errr something like that.

I bought Hopper new.

I know you can get awesome deals if you buy used, and I know a car depreciates a ton the second you drive it off the lot.

But there's just something about a new car. I'm hooked on em.

Wilson was bought new on May 12, 2001 and now had nearly 53,00 miles on him. My next one will most likely be used but I might just keep Wilson forever.

I bought this last VW used January 29th 2006... my sweet BB, a 2001.5 2.0 at 56,000 miles... she was $9125.00

Much easier then when I bought my 1998 Glx Vr6 Jetta for 25,000.00+ dollars with 3 miles lol.

But would I buy another NEW vw... yes. lol, and keep it for a long time. Im boring like that.

I wouldnt buy new unless I would plan to hang on to it. Thats just me.
