Halloween Visitor!
I walked into my office (a high school library) this morning to find a creepy visitor hanging on the blinds behind my desk.
Picture #1 is what I saw when I walked in the door.  Picture #2 is a closeup of my furry friend.  Picture #3 is what happened when the maintenance guy came to get him for me. (He said, "Aww... he's just a little guy!"  )The worst part was having to sit on my desk to check my email while I was waiting for the guys to come get him... I certainly wasn't going to turn my back on him  |

Yeah, he was kinda cute... for a bat.
I think he's okay, the maintenance guy scooped him up in the net and (I presume) let him go outside. I didn't ask for details, though. There is a large bat colony that used to reside in an old bank building downtown. The building was recently sold and the new owners had it sealed and decontaminated, so the bats are all looking for new homes. Maybe he'll keep looking... |

Awwwww CUTE! I hope he's all safe and sound...
I had to catch a bat at my old apartment once... I caught him in a big bowl and set him free outside. Then I threw away the bowl. |

Bats have a undeserved bad rep, but yes, they may be rabies carries (as can many other animals in the wild), and poop is seldom good...
BTW, did anyone see the SNL Halloween special?
