This is cool but I fail to see this as "first reliable passenger car diesel in the U.S. since the Mercedes W123.."

Anyhow... more passenger diesel in the US is a good thing.

I'd like to see the Toyota Tacoma Diesel sold here. All Tacoma's sold outside of North America are diesel.

Seriously, the W123 was a tank. And I know from first hand experience. It's the car that will never die, although I hope your not in such a hurry to get anywhere with one.

My VW TDI has not given me any problems that I do not consider outside the realm of what is normal for a car with 60k miles.
