Default People dying sucks

I know this will be a heavy subject for the fun nature of Misc Hoo-ha.

In the last 8 days, I have had one aquaintance, one relative, and one great friend pass away. I have been very fortunate to never have had to go to anyone's funeral in my 34 years of life. Unfortunately that is going to change too soon.

The aquaintance died in a horrible auto accident last monday.

The relative, who lived in montana, had an heart aneurism last wednesday.

The great friend left yesterday. I am still in shock. He was only 49. He was a very talented musician and artist. He is and will be greatly missed.

Take time to let your family and friends know how much they mean to you! Don't wait until tomorrow, it may be too late.

R.I.P. Leo.

Keep your head up, buddy. You never know when it will strike and I am so sorry they all had to come at once and some tragically. I can't say you have been fortunate to have never gone to a funeral in your life because now, after going so long, it may be even more difficult to deal with. I am 23 and have been to over 10... some young friends, some elderly relatives, some young relatives that were too young to pass.
You know that everyone here on the org has their thoughts with you and your circle of family and friends during this time. Sending a hug your way!!

Thanks everyone. It's great to have somewhere to let a bit of feelings out.

I keep trying to remember the good times rather then the times that never will be, or things that never got said.

All the sadness lately certainly has put a damper on getting into the house tomorrow. But as they say, "Life goes on" I just wish Leo was here to enjoy the house with us.

I'm so sorry for your losses Justin. I know all too well the feelings of loss. And it's hard at this time of year. I know that this is going to be a very painful Holiday season without my precious grandmother or my dog, which sounds silly, I know.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.

I was going to write that things come in threes, but niki beat me to it.

If you need anything, you always know I'm around to chat with you.

/me Hugs Justin

Nah...you can always lean on your Dub-Buds during tough times.

I hear ya' about the funerals. I've been to more this year than my previous 36 including a man from church who died of a sudden heart attack and a work colleague who succumbed to cancer approximately 14 weeks after diagnosis. Three of them, however, were for folks over 90.

Sorry to hear of your losses Justin My Mom died 9 1/2 years ago and to to this day it still hurts. If you love someone let them know today because tomorrow may be too late. I've been to quite a few funerals over the past 35 years so I know funerals are never easy but some don't hurt as much. We're always here with a shoulder if you need us.

My condolensces to you on your losses. Funerals are never fun, but like weddings, seems to be the only time people set aside their commitments to join together. A good professional friend that I have known for about 12 yrs just passed away a couple of days ago. Looks like a couple of my business partners and I are taking a quickie trip to Reno for the funeral on Friday. The loss of our friend wasn't totally unexpected though.....he had been in poor health for the last 4yrs. I saw him last month, and though he looked tired, he didn't look that....but I'll find out more on Friday.

i am so sorry to hear about all the losses, justin. death is something that's hard to wrap our heads around - to have someone here one moment and gone the next...it's hard to deal with. i've only been to a small handful of funerals in my life, but very early on, i knew the benefit of telling those you love and care about how much they mean to you. i never want anyone i care about to leave the world without knowing what they meant to me.

one of my very close friends passed away 2.5 years ago very suddenly and without warning. and even though he's not in my life anymore, i am grateful for the experiences and times we did have together. i will always cherish that. and i do dream about him every now and again, and in a weird way, it's kinda cool 'cause i feel like we still get to hang out.

we're here for you justin. death is hard and there's no proper or correct way to deal with it. just do as you feel...it'll help.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

I honestly feel for you. 1999 was a similar year for us when cancer made a run through family and friends...

Thanks for sharing the info about Leo...

Hope things ease up for you, and I hope all the best for you. Hang in there...

Justin,
Take the time to work through your feelings about these folks and what has happened. The older you get, the more this will happen if you continue to have friends, acquaintences and relations.

Those of us that are a lot closer to the register in life's check-out line have, I guess from our vantage point of being closer to the register, see more and more folks leave the cosmic store after shopping. We're all going to check out, just depends on how long we shop.

I'm sorry to hear about your losses and all in the same week; funerals are meant for you to share with the survivors, the time you spent with the deceased as part of your life, as the deceased may have shared a part of themselves with you that others might never have experienced.

I have been to several (civilian and military) funerals, some of which I ask myself, why? In 2004 one of the teenagers in our neighborhood decided to kill himself, we knew him, his sister babysat (a few years before) for my youngest, and he would stop by to play Ninentindo and computer games occasionally with my kids. So I ask Why?
