Default New car... not a VW, but still German

Picked my "dream" car up on Saturday evening. All I have to say is WOW! This car is amazing. I have wanted a convertible forever, but couldn't find one that I liked with the top up... until now.

'02 Mercedes-Benz SLK32 AMG:
13,800 miles
6 cylinder supercharged - 349hp/332ft-lbs
2-tone interior, Xenon, Bose & new tires

I'm still keeping the Beetle as it has much more space for hauling stuff around and it has sentimental value. But it's gonna be tough to tear me away from the new baby:

Dream car indeed! It's beautiful!

Glad to see youre still here on the org and that you're keeping the NB in the family

Although this has to be the first time I've heard anyone say their keeping the bug because it has "more space for hauling stuff" LOL

wow! that thing has some super-low mileage! way to go.

yeah, i understand keeping the beetle- even if it's silly and/or impractical. i almost parted with my Pookie but plan to keep it once i start thinking about buying a car again.

again- congrats! that thing is sweet!

Default You guys rock!

Thanks for all the compliments! That's one thing that I always loved about nb.org, most people here are always nice. I posted over on a Mercedes site and got the comment "that low of miles, probably a lemon"... I've loved every moment of being a VW owner and have really enjoyed meeting folks out at the shows, Roswell esp. Don't really think I will find the young & energetic crowd out at a MB meet... lol

MMM, SLK32 is super hot. Those AMG wheels are my 2nd favorite Mercedes wheels of all time. That car has got to be the most fun you can have with an automatc transmission
