Default ups bites

Last week I sent 2 boxes to 2 different addresses. Today, my sis in law calls me and tells me that I sent her the wrong box, it has stuff for my other brother. I thought I was going crazy thinking it was my fault. I asked her to look at the address I wrote on the box. Sure enough the ups guy put the wrong ups label on the wrong box urgggggggggggg. Well at least those two families will see each other on Christmas day and they can swap the presents then.

I absolutely hate UPS.
Every single package I've ever recieved through them has been damaged in some
way.
Their people are rude, unhelpful and seem to get pleasure in trashing other
people's property.

FedEx or the USPS for me.

Brown can't do jack for me.

....I know this is the holiday season, but my rant is from my local
dump UPS store in Sheboygan and getting way too many packages
with damage and having to jump thru rings of fire to get the problem
remedied.

Never once had a problem with FedEx.

Agreed!! If you make enough noise, they might give you a refund.

I hate using UPS, but had to use them a few weeks back to ship some wheels. Thankfully, they didn't mess that one up. I'd have shipped FedEx, but they are simply not convenient around here, and USPS is more expensive, when you are talking about big items.

More than once I have been tracking a package, to have it show delivered, and not be at my home. One time they delivered my new computer to the house across the street, which was in the process of being torn down, might I add. They said I had left instructions for alternate delivery...well, yes, a year earlier for a time we would be out of town...to be delivered to my next door neighbor, not the creeps across the street...

Then there was last Christmas, when I was tracking my new LCD TV...The driver drove past our house three times, me standing in the yard waving my arms...the house number clear as day on the house...and then she gets out and drops the TV in the yard...box was bigger than she was. Fortunately it was packed VERY well, and still works like a champ.

The same driver earlier this year said she delivered an $900 dresser to our house for a previous resident. I never saw it, and it turns out that it was supposed to be signed for, and I KNOW I didnt sign for one...I would remember that. I'm sure UPS had to eat that one, and probably my little UPS driver has a new dresser in her home...dunno.

I am not sure how I could prove anything though, but I think I will go over there and tell them what they did. Glad your tv was ok, sheesh!

Wow. I am amazed at all of the horror stories about UPS. I would never go with anyone else. Maybe I have such good experiences because I ship right from work. It's a corporate account and we do tons of shipping from here. UPS likes us alot, so they really deliver great customer service for us. And we get a good discount.

I hope everyones packages get to their destinations safe and on time.

UPS does seem to provide a higher level of service to its Corporate Customers, but that only makes sense...that is what makes them the big dinero!!

Go to the UPS site and check out the tracking info for each package, it it still exists. That might be of help.

There's a reason that UPS stands for Unbelievably Poor Service

If you give me the tracking #, I'll see what I can find out on the site. I use the site every day, so I am quite familiar with it.

I got a package from UPS today and was all excited, until I saw that it was addressed to the people who moved out of this house a year ago.

Okay, not UPS's fault, but a pain nonetheless! Unless there's cool stuff in there...

That's what they were accusing us of...stealing a dresser...I was so mad I could spit, especially when they should have gotten a signature on delivery.

We use UPS for work. I'm not the shipping person, but I help get stuff out sometimes. Several months ago, my coworker discovered that UPS had overcharged us hundreds of dollars in 2006. They tried to act like they didn't know a thing. Right.

They are a terrible company to deal with as a Canadian, absolute garbage-quality service.

They charged me $60 in fees to receive a $100 item I'd already paid for in full, as well as paid for the shipping service.

http://www.epinions.com/bsrv-Office_...ion_list/pp_~4

A quote:

I find it incredulous in this day and age that no one has legally gone after this obvious pilfering scamming institution. They spend millions of dollars promoting the brown machine as this wonderful caring service that will save you money. Nothing could be further from the truth. I purchased a $15 item in California, only to have the shipping and brokerage fees add up to a whopping $80! When I ask the company to ship via anything other than UPS, they said they had an account with only one courier and they wouldn't send it any other way! Lovely. Naturally I was screwed. Not only that, but earlier this year I received a free sample from a manufacturer that sent the item via UPS. They tried to pin on a $150 customs brokerage fee for this item that had a zero value declaration. Of course I refused the order, since I'm not in the habit of forking over money for items that I was supposed to sample. Bottom line - use anyone else.
