Alright well I have been looking into buying a turbo-s beetle..

I came across this and they say it's a GLX but I don't think it is... I figured why not ask the experts?

It's a 1.8 turbo, but not a Turbo S. It's missing the two-tone leather interior with brushed aluminum accents. Performance wise, it's missing TS software and Delta wheels.
I'm not an expert though, so I hope others chime in...

Well, the Turbo S isn't a GL, GLS, GLX, etc., it's a Turbo S.

It's either a fully loaded GLS or a GLX.

Granted, some people will misrepresent their cars when selling. But considering it's got all the options, I'd say it's more than likely a GLX.

A GLX and a Turbo S are 2 different birds. First the Turbo S wasn't offered in any shade of blue, and it doesn't have the S body pieces so no it's not a Turbo S. Other wise it has leather, and pretty much all of the goodies a GLX would have, except I don't see a sunroof and I'm a little rusty as to wether or not you could get a GLX without one. Otherwise it's just a modded and dirty 1.8T.

It's definately not a Turbo S, those were available only 2002-2004 and only in black, red, silver and gray. I don't think that is a GLX from the pictures--it looks like a dressed-up GLS to me.

Not 100% sure (also not sure if anyone has said this already) ... it has cloth. Has to be a GLS. GLX (I believe) only had leather.

I highly doubt we've all got that same kind of clevage
Some of them would be a little hairy, don't you think guys?
It's up because everyone was putting up clevage pics, as a little joke between Aura and I BTW, she loved it

I'm gonna have to go with loaded GLS... I thought the LEATHER seats only had the holes in the center parts.. but LEATHERETTE had them like they are in the photo. I don't think the seats in that NB are either leather or cloth, but the leatherette that was available in the GLS? I could be wrong..

I have a GLX, but I don't have my NB today so I can't go run out and look

If you're in the market for car shopping buy a carfax subscription (well worth the 24.99 in my opinion) and run the VIN through it and it should tell you exactly what it is.

I just called and they checked all the paperwork they have on it, and it all says GLX...

The guy said all they know is what the guy told them when he traded it in .. 17" epg gunmetal rims, remus exhaust, intake, and a chip... dont know if its one of those cheap chips or something worthwhile

I ran it through NADA...it's definitely a GLX...and a good deal too, if you look at trade-in and retail pricing with that kind of mileage.

It is a GLX, the vin has DD (LOL, nice! ) in it. A Turbo S would have a FE in the vin, different bumper covers, two tone leather, and upgraded software.

A 1.8T GLX is still one sweet Bug. And LadybugEwa's avatar rocks.

Well, OK, we've all got "cleavage" back there. Some of it less attractive than others , which is why I didn't want to see it be a new trend in avatars like the other cleavage has been!

Question

If it were a GLX, wouldn't it have a sunroof?

Or does it, and it's just too filthy to see?
