Just out of curiousity! I could not ask for a better one for my generation; I saw New Kids on the Block when I was 6 at Dodger Stadium! I fell asleep, LOL! I do remember it being a blast though! I wish I still had the shirt I made!
![]() So what was your's? ![]()

Oh man. I think this is gonna be an awesome thread! Maybe people combine their concerts with the NB roadtrip!
My first concert was Ozzfest 06 (exactly 2 weeks after my 18th birthday). It was awesome! My first NB roadtrip/concert was to Spokane in December for a local band called Takeover. (www.myspace.com/takeovermetal) |

I won tickets to a New Kids on the Block concert... but I ended up giving them to my baby sitter as a gift (she was really
about them)....So my first concert was a BEASTIE BOYS concert in the mid 90s.

Oh wow.. like I really remember *that* long ago...
I'm gonna take a stab and say Genesis, 1978 or '79 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. ("... And Then There Were Three" tour) Now, if you was to ask the best show.. so far, summer of 1998, The Electric Factory in Philly, Genesis cover band "The Musical Box". I left that one literally shaking from how awesome it was. Even get chills nearly 10 years later thinking about it!

My first was KISS in 1992 on the Revenge tour. Back in the non-make up days. First tour with (then new drummer) Eric Singer. My dad is the world's largest KISS fan so it was natural. I didn't go to another concert until 1997 when I saw Garth. Goddamn that was unreal. Seen Metallica twice. First time I was lucky enough to meet them. That day will go down as the greatest day of my life. The 2nd time was by far a better show. Best concert ever. Saw Avenged once. They were amazing. Dream Theater twice. Megadeth. KISS again (with makeup). Velvet Revolver twice (that's right, I saw Slash ). Godsmack. blink 182. Green Day. Korn. Disturbed. Jimmy Eat World. Muse. Keane. Audiovent. Yngwie Malmsteen. Steve Vai. Joe Satriani. Queensryche. Fate's Warning. Uncrowned. Hoobastank. Coheed and Cambria. Poison. Tool. Alter Bridge (unreal). Submersed. Andrew WK.Reckon that's a decent enough list. Still not near enough rock. |

Well...I don't think that it's classified as a rock concert...but my first was Cheech and Chong at San Fernando Valley State College (now Cal State Northridge) at the gym when they came out with their first album (the yellow one) at about 1971 (Man, were we wasted!!!). Saw the Allman Bros. (with Duane Allman) along with the the New Riders of the Purple Sage at the L.A. Coliseum that same summer
...Seen: Bill Medley, Lee Greenwood, Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Jethro Tull, Robyn Trower, Reba McIntyre, Toni Braxton, Kenny G, The Marshall Tucker Band, Gordon Lightfoot, George Carlin, Jim Nabors... I'll fill in more as I remember them (there's a bunch more!) Lou Rawls Dave Mason Les McCann The Oak Ridge Boys

My first concert was NSYNC - I think they called that tour "I Want You Back"
I saw them 2 more times after that , all 3 in Denver. I've also seen George Strait at Cheyenne Frontier Days, Reba McEntire and Alan Jackson at the Greeley Stampede(separate times), SONICFLOOD at a local church and that's it I think. Oops - forgot Point of Grace with FFH opening in Salem, Oregon in 2001 with our friends who lived there at the time. We got to go backstage and meet Point of Grace and FFH. That was fun!Cori

I'm gonna follow Scott's footsteps and list some concerts I've seen. I've been to too many to remember them all, but this is what I can dig up:
*NSYNC twice, Brtiney twice, Christina opened by Destiny's Child, Sugarcult, New Found Glory (4 times), Death Cab for Cutie, Unwritten Law numerous times, Get Up Kids, Limbeck, Rudiger, Audio Karate, Death by Stereo, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, 98*, Ricky Martin, Will Smith, Van Halen, Alien Ant Farm, Good Charlotte, The Ataris, Mest three times, Homegrown, Rufio, Saves the Day twice, Taking Back Sunday, The Used twice, Finch, The Vandals, Lit, Midtown, Never Heard of It, The Offspring, Phantom Planet, Spitalfield, 30 Seconds to Mars, Brand New, Lily Allen, The Bird and the Bee... I went to Warped Tour in 02, 03, & 04 so everyone that was there that I can't remember... That's all I could think of and that took me a dang long time!! (I keep editing this as time goes on when I see other people's posts and remember I saw them too! )Last edited by niki; 04-05-2007 at 03:29 AM.. |

REM - Monster Tour. Cant remember the year. I was in 7th grade ... won tickets on the radio. They played song "Star me Kitten" ... and, they asked, "What does 'star' mean"? I obviously knew the answer ... so, I called in and told them.
I won tickets. Parents didnt believe me. HAHA! ![]() Went with my mutter to the concert ... that was weird.
