in the spirit of all these "name 6 things" or "5 weird things about you" threads, i thought i'd start this one. inspired partly by angelworks' comment in another thread about people being more open about things that make them smile, i bring you the:

7 positive things about you, or
7 really great things about you, or
7 things that make YOU rock!

take it however you like. i'd like to hear some positive things about each of you. things that you really like about yourself -- things you're really good at -- really good selling points about you...ok, you get the idea. we all have things that make us great / lovable / a super person and i'd like to know what they are!

Oooh.. an "I love me" thread

1. I keep promises I make.. which means I won't make a promise I am not certain I can.
2. I show up for work. Which you may not think is such a big deal, but I've seen so many people over the years just not come in because they didn't feel like it...
3. I am good at problem solving, although I usually have to think on it for a while first.
4. I am thrifty.
5. I make good spaghetti
6. I try to be courteous to others (as long as you don't "start something" first, that is, then I'll just ignore ya.)
7. If I have something useful to add to a conversation, even though I am somewhat of an introvert, I will speak my piece.

Hmmm...lemme see here.

1. I drink Guinness (and there's usually extra in the fridge )
2. I'll drive wherever to help someone out, and usually ask for nothing in return except for a 6 of beer or dinner
3. I have ink, and want lots more (including a Homestar 1/2 sleeve)
4. I know the words to random songs no one else does, and I can usually sing just like the lead singer (albeit off-key)
5. I drive a TDI (I mean, that's gotta count for something, right?)
6. I'm a really modest guy
7. my friends usually call me J-Nice (something about the overly nice part I may have mentioned in a previous thread)

2. I'm a good graphic designer.

5. I bathe often, and keep my body hair trimmed.

1. I'm huggable and somewhat pettable.
2. I can make any windows machine run like a champ (gawd, i really cant think of anyhting better than that).
3. I am a really really really really good friend.
4. All my friends are really really really really good friends.
5. I seem to fit under Foamy's catgorizations of both "Goth" and "Punk" personalities.
6. I love going to work. I actually look forard to it every day.
7. I am the biggest kid at heart. I still find news totally boring, i hate drama shows, crime shows, and reality tv. I usually watch cartoon network and comedy central.
8. I often think of myself as having a good tatse in music, albeit I do listen to some weird stuff (anyone else her love the chainsaw juggler as much as i do?)
9. I think i have a good grasp on reality to have some "common sense".
10. But on the other hand I'm totally nuts, and I never do what you think I would.

Hmmm I hate doing this but I had to do something similar not too long ago so I'll give it a try again...

1. I don't judge people. I know we're all human and make mistakes.
2. I give people I dont know the benefit of the doubt. I dont treat them based on what I've heard about them from other people. I give them a chance to make an impression on me.
3. It makes me happy to make other people smile.
4. I try to perform one random act of kindness everyday. For instance..today a woman I work with had to leave work early because she didnt feel well. I had an extra umbrella at my desk and she didnt have one so I just gave it to her. Maybe she'll give it back, maybe she wont. If she doesnt she needs it more than I do. If she does then I'll end up passing it on to someone else who may need it one day.
5. I love my family and I try to spend as much time as I can with them. Every chance I get I drive to Pa to go see them.
6. I'm forgiving.
7. When I ask someone how they are its not a generic "hello" question, I'm geniunely concerned about how they are. If I'm not I dont ask, but 9 times out of ten when I say hi to someone I'm asking them how they are or how their day is going.

ooooh, i love this thread. it makes me smile. sometimes, i think we lose sight of the truly good things about ourselves it's nice to remember our positive traits every now and again.

ok, my turn:

1. if i like you, you'll know it...a lot. i am really good at showing the people i love how much i care. i'm never embarassed to give a compliment or write a well-deserved note of appreciation.
2. i have pretty eyes, though they often hide behind glasses.
3. i love random acts of kindness and try to commit them whenever possible.
4. i'm pretty good with computers and technology.
5. my sense of humor is pretty outstanding, if you get it.
6. pretty darn good at my job, when there's work.
7. i'm about the most open and honest person you'll meet.

Lets see...
1. I am very passionate about helping the environment
2. I have great friends...I've had my very best friend for 12 years
3. I have a wonderful boyfriend who has stuck with me through a bunch of stuff for over 3 years
4. I got a full tuition scholarship to my number one choice college in North Carolina
5. I'm good at giving advice (although sometimes I give advice to people that I should follow as well but I don't...)
6. I'm 18 years old, in college, and I don't drink or smoke
