Default Alan's Coast To Coast 2008 Tour

Next year I've decided to drive cross country. You can keep the monuments, historical sites, and world's largest ball of twine. I want to meet some orgers!

If anyone's curious to meet or, God help you, see me again, all you have to do for the moment is tell me your town.

Travel time is limited, so I need some idea of my route from coast to coast and back home. So far, I figure Day 1 is NYC to Cleveland, Ohio. Day 2 is Cleveland to Davenport, Iowa. Day 3 is Davenport to Tulsa, Oklahoma. But this is just off the top of my pointed head.

Of course, I still have about a year to figure this out, but maybe it's a good idea to start planning now?

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

It's not nearly the size of Austin, TX, but you can come visit us in Austin, KY!! I'd love to meet folks from the ORG and you'd be more than welcome. If you decide to swing through, I could offer a meal consisting of iron-skillet-fried chicken, dressing, dumplins, mashed taters and homemade cornbread for your gullet! Here's a couple of pictures off my back deck next to the Jacuzzi. We have plenty of room & can also offer your own digs in the 5th wheel 30' camper.

Sounds like a great trip! If you go further north, my mom lives in Keokuk, Iowa...

Have fun, Alan! I'm hoping to drive about 1400 miles by the end of this year. I'm getting all my bills cleaned up and I should be in good shape financially by the summer to do this. Woo hoo!! I wanna see the land of corn!

What a cool idea Alan!
How much time are you planning on spending driving from right to left and then back to right?
