I'm leaving the forum and myspace for good.

Okay. I am just kidding about the forum, but I am deleting my myspace account. I apoligize to those of you in advance who are on there but I've had nothing but bad experiences with it. I had this girl who asked me to add her at the beggining of summer, so I did. Two weeks later she deleted me for no reason and a few days later I started school. Well, she happened to start school that semester. She came up to me and told me she knew me from myspace and I said "yeah, didn't you delete me." For some reason this just made her mad and she started acting like I was some kind of stalker. I go to school to get an education not stalk people and besides I was going there way longer than her. I could keep going, but I won't. The bad just out weighs the good and I really can't handle it anymore. Sometimes you have to know when to cut your loses. I'm sicking of being nice to people and getting my face spit in for it. So, that's all...

myspace sucks. it's a good place to blog and keep in touch, but ohmygod, the drama!

apparently, it's also a really good place to showcase your boobs, pics of you drunk and fill you page with tons of glittery pictures.

i say you're better off without it.

i think the key with myspace is this: to each their own. worry about YOURspace, not everyone elses. i have to admit, when i first got my myspace account, i was very caught up in the whole thing. now, it's just kinda something for me and my friends and i get to decide who those people are.

Oh, I fully understand what you're saying about myspace. I strictly use it as a tool to have fun with some of my bestest buds that I'd otherwise never get to talk to.

Exactly!!! It's MYspace!! No buttheads allowed! I had one guy who requested me to be a friend and then gave me a lecture on how I didn't need boobies to make me pretty. Um yeah, no duh and if I want a lecture I'll go sit down with my grandpa for 15 minutes. Old )*(*&$(*#&$. LOL

I've never had a problem with MySpace "drama". I hate that word. It's so overused. But I enjoy it. I like reading Erin's blogs and seeing everyone's pictures of themselves or their families. People have things they love and are proud of and I like sharing that with them. Great place for my band, too.

it's not for everyone. i scott said, it's a cool place to read up on people and in a weird way, keep in touch without having to write emails. i like looking at people's photos, reading about their lives, etc.

and yes scott, the "d" word is definitely overused. i can't think of an alternative though! scandal?

I think MySpace isn't for everyone. I had a bit of luck with it. I met my wonderful girlfriend and permanent female fixture through MySpace.

I also understand the whole drama issue because I see that it does happen, but I use it for me, and it's MYspace! I only have friends I know on my page and it's been a great tool for re-connecting with people for me. Some of my oldest friends that I've lost contact with have found me and now we're talking like we did 'back in the day' It really disgusts me about what goes on there, but that's not myspace being dumb, that's the average American acting dumb. I hate how Myspace takes all the heat for the losers that use its service and how they're being blamed for kids being abducted and attacked, but this wouldn't happen if they had common sense or self control, right? Anywho, I wandered WAY off topic LOL!

Bottom Line: Myspace isn't for everyone and I understand how it can be frustrating. For me, it's been and still is a great tool to keep in contact with friends and see how their lives are going. I don't think Myspace is stupid, I just think their average users are stupid.
