So long crappy job, I got something new!!
I got a call at 6pm tonight saying I was hired for a job I've been working my tail off trying to get! WOOHOOOOO!!!
    I've been utterly miserable at my current job for a long time (as many posts have hinted at), it is such a huge relief to know I'll be quitting! It's been 3 weeks since my last interview, and I've been totally stressing about it. But I finally feel like 500 tons has been lifted from my shoulders and I feel so much better. My new job will be at American University in DC, I'll be working with the police department as a patrol officer. No gun, but will carry various other "weapons" (night stick, pepper spray, etc.) and will have the power to arrest and give tickets and stuff. After my probation period, I'll be able to apply for a vehicle with lots of flashy lights and loud wee-woo noises. You guys have no idea how excited I am, I haven't stopped smiling for 2 hours. I'll be working overnights to start, so I have to basically swap my life upside down. Work at night, sleep in the morning. It'll be weird at first, but I've always been a night owl anyway. I feel so great, I just wanna jump around and scream!!!#%&!)#*(^&!)(#%

Thanks all. I'm nervous about telling my current job that I'm quitting, but it'll be all downhill from there. I'm really excited to start

Bout damn time!
I left my cellular device at the crib so that's why I didn't respond with an overjoyed call or text. But you know I couldn't be happier for you. You deserve this. Big time. Here's hoping that this job holds for you happiness, content and never ending oppertunity. I know you're gonna rock this job. And since when do they give big, hairy baboons jobs?
