We all could use more Jews. They're wondeful. They taste like chicken

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

No seriously, some of my favorite people are Jewish

Mine too....I was very lucky growing up. My neighbors were Jewish, so I was able to take part in all their holidays and they took part in all Catholic holidays. It really helped me to learn/understand/respect their religion. And the same for them in reverse.

I personally feel children should learn about other cultures and religions cause it definitely increasing understanding and respect. Unfortunately, the state/federal government feels it's better to ignore these differences.

Hooray! It's still Rosh Hashana!

And not in a "John's birthday" kind of way, this holiday lasts 2 days. The year is now 5768, I believe. So, once again...

L'Shana Tova everybody! And for you Gentile-folk... I hope you had a nice Thursday?

Tomorrow morning I get the honors of opening the ark, plus I blow shofar! That's the horn in the picture earlier. It's a musical horn made out of an animal's horn! How crazy is that!?! As for those of you getting out of work... I, the Jew, had to use vacation days! That's life in Tulsa for you!

Hehe...wanna know something funny? My friend who calls me an honorary Jew (along with her mother) called me at work today and was asking ME about Rosh Hashana. She said "Now,what do they do? Are they allowed to work? Talk on the phone?" I was laughing because she is "Jewish" and Jewish is used loosely. She is non-practicing, never stepped foot in Temple (maybe once or twice for Bar or Bat Mitzvahs) but when people ask her what nationality she is she says "Jewish" She cracks me up! She is supposed to be Jewish and she was asking me about a Jewish holiday

Enjoy your horn and the ark!
