Question Is there a bit missing ?

Looking at buying this set, but why is that a gap in the middle of the rear seats ? Is it mean't to be narrower than the back piece

I think the gap is for the pass through that the NBC's have. It unlocks in the middle of the back seat so you can put longer things in through the trunk like ski's/a rake pole, or whatever. I am not sure, but I think it stays stationary in the car when the seats are removed. The gap in between those seats looks about that wide. Anyone else have any ideas.

You could probably fabricate something to fill the gap if that's all that's lacking.

Not sure how they are when it comes to width though.

just get a GTI back seat and remove the faom and laether and attach it to your frames for your stock seats

Just get a set of used NB rear seats at a junkyard.

I'll have to agree with Bill here. If that's from a 'vert, remember that their top headrests are a roll bar, which means there's supposed to be a metal rod (hehe, I said "rod") going behind the seat backs. Plus, they're not made to fold over like the tintops. That's why there's room for a passthrough.
