Smile What I learned this morning

Before Gidget I drove a Jeep. The Jeep loved to run through the rain puddles on the road. I now have to remember that I am ALOT closer to the ground now and Gidget doesn't like the puddles as much.

This is true, when getting rides on girls you have to watch out for puddles.

I learned the hard way just how low the cars are. A few years ago I was in Seattle and discovered that, instead of double yellow lines in the middle of the road, they have a pointy topped curb dividing lanes. And the top of it is just about the same height as the bottom of our oil pans. Not a fun lesson to learn.

Some areas are bad enough at stock height much less when you lower the car 2". There used to be a part on I-10 I drove when returning from my parents that was under construction (I know, when is I-10 near Houston NOT under construction) and the lanes were asphalt. Well with all the traffic and heavy trucks and Texas heat, the one lane developed a rut (more like a mini Grand Canyon). Was near the old rest stop at Baytown, for those of you that may know the area. Between the road being pushed down and causing the edge of it to push up on one edge made it very nasty. I got stuck in that lane once and to drive the rut. I felt the passenger side of the car raise and the traction light came on, cause there was enough of a difference to get the passenger tire off the ground. I got lucky and only had a small scrape on the sub-frame.
