Default Court has ordered Britney to give up custody

Per CNN email alert:

-- A court has ordered pop singer Britney Spears to give up custody of her children effective Wednesday at noon, according to court papers.

I feel bad for the kids. But hopefully this will be a step in the right direction for all.

I've never been a huge fan of K-Fed and quite frankly was frightened when they both became parents. But it seems K-Fed has buckled down, I don't hear much about him anymore unless it's relating to the divorce, an appearance he's making or a project he's working on. I believe this because his ex fiance said he is a great dad. She could have used this opportunity to trash him but she didn't, so that leads me to have some faith in him as a dad. There are plenty of folks out there who are awesome parents, but not as good at being a spouse.

Never been a huge Britney fan

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction as it now gives her something to work on. She can forget the past and work on the future. Wouldn't suprise me if she came good again. Besides she must have some visiting rights i think

I've got an Anna Nicole Smith feeling about this one.

[chris crocker]LEAVE BRITNEY ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE![/chris crocker]

i'm happy to see the kids being taken away from her. she's not fit to be a mother right now. i have no pity for her. none. i hope the kids are ok though - they don't deserve this.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Unfortunatly her "past" involves 2 innocent children, they cannot be forgotten. They should be the "future" she's working on. She needs to realize her 15 minutes is up and focus on her children to give them what they deserve, which is a loving family atmosphere and at least a parent who is a constant in their lives. It sounds like K-Fed has figured that out.

As far as visitation goes, K-Fed has sole custody now til further notice. I assume visits, if any, would be short and supervised. She should buckle down and take care of her family now, she can work on a comeback later.

If she can make a comeback, she's got ALOT of cleaning up to do and she is going to have to work VERY hard to gain back the respect she's lost. It's a shame too because in the beginning it seemed like she was on the right track.

I was expecting Christina Aguilera to go down this road based on the image she portrayed in her Dirty album and the crowds she was hanging with at the time, but she cleaned up, got married and now you never hear about her unless she makes an appearance/performance or is working on a project. Those are the kinds of celebrities I respect, the ones that are in the spotlight for good reasons.

I agree with Beetle Brain up there. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about her OD'ing or something now. Although pictures that were released today of Britney show her smiling and happy after giving up her kids. Sad.

Where did you see the pics? I don't have kids, but I can't imagine being happy they're gone

That's what i mean't

She knows the only way to get her kids back is to clean up. Taking kids away from anyone is BAD. Breakups don't help either. But it would be good to read in a few years that she has sorted herself out, dropped the music and infamousy and is visiting her kids and the family can be as normal as can be

Listen to Christina sing "At Last" a'capella VS. one of Brit's rare and pathetic live performances. It's easy to tell who's got true talent and true talent lasts. Media darlings don't. And that's all Britt ever was. That "live" MTV performance recently, where she tip-synched and walked about the stage in a drug induced daze was all the judge or the public ever needed to see.

Let's hope she can make it just to the end of THIS year for starters. It has not been a good year for the whole family.

I agree wholeheartedly. I love her but I think she's a nutty beyotch. They had a parenting coach come in and help her complete simple things that the judge ordered and the only thing I saw her doing was asking a paparazzi for tampons in an Arby's bathroom.
