Default Ever thought about Bosch Icon wiper blades? Now's the time to get 'em!

(This post is not spam, I swear. I'm not employed by this company or paid to advertise or anything like that. I'm just letting everyone know the deal I found. I read through the rules thrice and as far as I can tell, this sort of thing is allowed.)

I just got my windshield replaced (since some kid on a bike went through the old one - but that's a different story), and my wipers were full of glass shards, so I obviously needed some new ones. I stopped by my favorite FLAPS (Friendly Local Auto Parts Store), which happened to be an Advance Auto Parts - the one whose website is http://www.advanceautoparts.com/. On the wall outside are 3 banners advertising "25% off ALL wiper blades". I knew that they carry Bosch Icons, so I got pretty excited. I even asked the guy at the counter if it really meant ALL wiper blades, even the Icons, and he said "Yeah..." and looked at me funny. Needless to say, I found this an opportune time to upgrade.

SHORT VERSION: You can get a pair of Bosch Icon wiper blades right now at Advance Auto Parts for 25% off. That makes a pair ~$30 (normally ~$40).

I dunno if Advance Auto Parts is called anything else anywhere else in the world, but you can click on the link to find out.

I'm totally impressed by the Icons. No noise whatsoever whilst they wipe. I haven't tried them at highway speeds yet, but around 50mph I can see the difference in how they stay down on the windshield. I've been in a Mercedes a couple times before, and these wipers remind me of the uber-quiet wipers on it.

I've always wanted some, since I knew everyone on the org who had some really loved theirs, but always thought $40 was a bit steep. $30 for 2 makes them only twice as expensive as the ones I used to buy, so if they last twice as long, they've paid for themselves.

No Advance stores out here in the west but Autozone has buy 1 get 1 free through Oct. 17 but you have to deal with a rebate. I've had good luck with receiving rebates from Autozone.

Great deal on a great wiper!

It figures as soon as I buy some there's an even better deal out there.

I'll just pretend I didn't see that...

For the record though, I also have had nothing but success with Autozone rebates.

DOH! Just bought a new pair from Advance AP only 2 weeks ago!

BTW, buy 22" for the driver's side and 21" for the passenger's side, there's no listing on the chart for the NB, so you get the ones listed for the Passat.

Bill, I picked up Icons a few days ago and I got the 21A for both sides (oops!). Do you know what the difference between the 21A and 21B models are, and which is appropriate for the NB?

21's were what I got first, they lasted about 6 months, but I use them a LOT, then I learned the driver's side can accommodate another inch, so that's what I bought for my 2nd set.

Hmmmm, I think one letter is for the driver's side and one letter is for the passenger's side, but I really didn't see any difference when installing them.

OOh yay!! My dad works at Advance Auto as their Commercial Pro. So that means I'll get another 20% off the discounted price! YAY!!

I do need new windshield wipers
