Well, this is one of them...1998 Integra Type-R. 19 months, $9000 in mods, and 99,000 miles later, I sold her for what I paid ($13,500). Oh yeah, no Maaco jokes (car got keyed...no comp). The car had a sunroof put in, and I stuck the side moldings on because I was tired of door dings.

Here's my very first new car, a 1989 VW Fox GL. I still have dreams that I'm working in the garage, and pull off a tarp, and there it is. Man, I miss this car.

And here's my previous 4Runner. I miss it too. This was much more a "me" type of car than my current 4Runner. I HATE that the new one is an auto.

My 1st car in 92 was a 1977 buick regal 5.0. It was in perfect condition when I got it. The only thing wrong with it was that the headliner was coming down but I got that fixed. Man could that car move! On the outside it looked like an old ladies car but it didn't drive like one...I got pulled over quite a few times...never got a ticket though
In 93 I got a red 1990 cavalier z-24. I LOVED that car! That was another car that was very deceiving. It got me into trouble though. I loved to drive fast and I ended up getting into a bad car accident with it and totalled it.
After that I had a 1988 monte carlo ss..also in close to perfect condition. I drove that when I lived in Florida. It was a V8 so I was spending a fortune on gas..even at 98 cents a gallon. I ended up trading with someone for an 89 nissan sentra/stanza. That was the 1st car I ever had that had a moonroof. I used to drive it down to Miami Beach with all my friends and they would hang out the moonroof and yell at guys That car died at almost exactly 250,000 miles. The head gasket blew. SO then in 99 i ended up getting a 95 monte carlo LS. She was good to me...never really had any major problems with it except for the fact that you can't lube the ball joints on those cars so they tend to rust and break and if you don't pay attention to em you could end up in big trouble! Luckily the one and only time a ball joint broke on it I was only doing about 20 miles an hour through a parking lot...actually i was probably going slower beceause I was about to turn into a parking space. When the ball joint broke it pulled out the axle. Good thing it happened then because after that I was getting ready to get on the highway. If it had happened when I was going about 65-70 I may not have made it home!
Now I have Skittle! My 2002 cybergreen gls 2.0 and I wuv her!

This was my car immediately previous to my NBC.
1995 Golf III GL.
Absolutely loved the car.
I rear-ended someone (somewhat offset) on the freeway, doin' about 60, about 2 months after I got it. Absolutely totaled the Celica I hit. But the only damage to the Golf was the front air dam cracked. Had the frame checked and double-checked for damage and for square many times in the 9 years following, and it was absolutely solid. Sold me on the safety of "German Engineering". It was built like a tank.

Moved my entire house from Portland to Houston in this car.

Other than "the accident", I never had a lick of trouble with the car other than a small cam in the clutch broke (which, unfortunately, meant the entire clutch got chewed up and had to be replaced)... but that was after nearly 90,000 miles of carefree driving.

And even after 10 years, the Tornado Red was still a screamin' color.

Sold it to a 19 year old kid in town when I bought Kermit... and fully expect that it's still going strong.

Former car :

Peugeot 306 convertible, 1.6 engine

I really liked the car, I had him while going to college, and it was super fun, especially in the summer, top down, and hit the road

Unfortunately, I had to sell him, as I needed a diesel to go to work, as the distance was too much for my 306 (consumption).

Anyway, there's one thing I'm sure, my next car is again a convertible, of a SUV .

Let's see....

My first car was an '86 Mustang
Traded that for a '94 Chevy Cavalier Z24
Traded the Cavalier for a '97 Pontiac Sunfire
Traded the Sunfire for the '00 Chevy Cavalier Z24
Mike wrecked his Saturn, and we needed a car in both our names for the sake of Base stickers, so we traded the Cavalier for the '99 New Beetle GLS
We bought Mike the '74 Super Beetle, which he totalled last year.

I've only owned 4 other cars. I had a plain old brown Ford F150 with a straight 6 and 3 on the tree that I loved but killed after I had it only about a year. I got another one to replace it but it had the 4 on the floor instead and I didn't like that as much. I then drove my Grandfathers hand me down Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale for a couple years out of necessity. I then bought a new purple Ford Ranger that I called Barney the purple truck. Put a lot of miles on that one.

Wink is the first car I've truly loved and wanted to work on and take loving care of. He's my best friend. I hope he lasts forever.

I posted my first car earlier in this thread just because of its uniqueness, but probably my "funnest" car was my '79 Corvette. Bought it for $5K and immediately dropped a $5K engine in it. And of course I had to have the huge sidepipes just so people knew it had a $5K engine in it.

Another interesting point - I bought it in Oregon in 1997, so no sales tax. Then it was my daily driver for 6 years (okay, not daily... I drove the Squareback to work about a 1/3 of the time). It was going to need new hub assemblies in the rear (about $1000 per side if done right) and it had always needed new paint, so I finally sold it about 2 years ago. Sometimes I miss it - but then I remember it had to run 93 octane and got 12 mpg on a good day...

very first car: used 1983 ford escort (i was 16) - total POS
2nd car: new 1993 saturn SL1 (i was 17) bought for me by the parents
3rd car: new 2002 saturn SL1 (i was 26) bought on my own
4th car: used 2001 new beetle GLS (i was 29) bought on my own

the saturns were good to me, but oh-so-boring. no real problems with either one. my beetle is the first car i've ever owned that i've been truly excited about. i want to keep it forever, and seriously, i just may drive one the rest of my life.

In my years, I have had many cars. I'm too old and tired to list them all, but a here are a few...

First car: 1969 Pontiac LeMans, bought 1979(just like yellow and black one below)

First "fun" car: 1977 Toyota Celica, bought 1987 (just like the red one below)

First "new" car: 1988 Nissan Sentra. Drove for eight years, never a glitch. Good car. (blue, like the one below)

Two Ford Taurus's: First, the 1996, base, silver. Second, 1998, Red, loaded. Loved this car.

2002 Ford Explorer, V8, loaded. (like the red one below) Had this thing for three months, traded for the Turbo S. No regrets.

2003 New Beetle TDI, Betel, pictured below. Reluctently let go, when we bought the NBC. We Love You, Betel! He's pictured at the beach, below.

There are lots of other cars in my past. You'll just have to do with these!
